Washboard​

Remember the good old washboard? Before modern washing machines took over, this humble household staple was a lifesaver in keeping clothes fresh and clean. Many probably still recall the rhythmic scrubbing sound, a true sign of hard work and dedication. Whether it was in the backyard laundry tub or by the kitchen sink, the washboard was an essential part of daily life.

I used to play a washboard in a skiffle group back in the late 50's in Birkenhead UK

Yes I have my mothers one, we lived in Fawkner in the 1960’s , I keep it in my wash room and it wonderful to use.
