Want to get rid of tea and coffee cup stains without breaking a sweat? This simple hack will do the trick. Hint: It uses a SIMPLE household item

We all know the feeling of taking a break from our hectic lives to enjoy a cup of tea. Whether we're catching up with a friend or taking a moment to relax, there's nothing quite like a good cup of tea.

There's something about tea that just makes us feel good. Maybe it's the warmth of the cup or the soothing aroma. Whatever the reason, we can all agree that tea is one of life's simple pleasures.

Unfortunately, tea can also be one of the biggest culprits when it comes to stained cups. Whether it's tea stains on our favourite mug or a tea-stained tablecloth, it's frustrating to see those pesky stains.

We mean, we've all been there - you're enjoying a nice cup of tea when suddenly you notice a Brown Ring of Doom (BROD – do you think it’ll catch on?) on the inside of your cup.

But don't panic! With a little baking soda and some (minor) elbow grease, you can have your cup looking good as new in no time.

Cleanipedia, a Youtube channel dedicated to making housekeeping and cleaning easier, has shared a step-by-step guide on how to get rid of tea stains from your cups without breaking a sweat.

The process is also easy: start by simply wetting the inside of the cup with cold water. Next, add enough baking soda to cover all of the brown stains.

The baking soda should stick quickly to the cup's wet sides. Leave it for a short while, then wipe the brown stains (BROD) with a cloth or sponge.

You may need to scrub it a little bit, but after that, you can put hot water in your sink and wash your dishes, as usual, using a quality dishwashing detergent. Alternatively, if you have a dishwasher, you can use that as well.

When it comes to cleaning your kitchenware, there are always alternative methods to get the job done no matter how difficult it may seem.

The first step is to research what materials you need to clean your kitchenware properly. This may seem like a daunting task, but there are plenty of resources available online and in libraries that can help you out. Once you have the materials, it's simply a matter of dedicating some time to actually cleaning your kitchenware.

I usually just sprinkle salt on it and rub with my finger, then wash with other dishes.

I've got the good quick solution. " Dominant Products". They sell Booster and Soak and washing powder along with the best of products that are environmentally friendly, phosphate free & proudly Australian owned. Their Booster & soak is a miracle powder & not too strong of course. Just rub a little on the stain & soak for a minute then wash as usual. You want to see what it does to old lacework that has aged orange over the years. Gleaming white after a short time in 2 teaspoons of booster & soak. All their products can run rings around any other brands because of the less quantity used as everything is concentrated. 26 years I have been using their products & I am more than happily satisfied . My shower is a show piece from limited wiping. You can ring the Company which is in South Australia & each product has a points system. Delivery is free to any part of the country when you log up the specified points. Ring them to learn more as they are so willing to help you. Phone them on 1300 789 963. 12 Coglin Street, Brompton S.A. 5007.
They will send you brochures so you can make up your own mind. You won't be sorry. Over the 26 years buying by bulk has saved me so much money. For my own satisfaction, old habits die hard. Each time I take out a particular item from my store, I place the cost in a bottle, so when I go to order again I always have the money to pay. Everything lasts so long when a squeeze bottle is in the ratio of 8 parts water to one of the carpet cleaner for e.g. Coffee & tea cups just LOVE the B/SOAK.
A matter of a minute. All clean. No heavy washing. I am so proud of my little unit. Trust me.

I find even the most dried on stains come off in my little dishwasher if I give my mug a quick rinse to dampen stain before putting in dishwasher. So easy and effortless, and cheap!

An easy way to remove tea/coffee stains is to wet the cup then sprinkle salt in around the stain. Use your fingers to rub the salt in and it disappears straight away. Rinse with water then ready to use 🙂

You can use 1/4 to 1/2 of denture tablets to remove tea residue. Also great for cleaning inside of grotty stained tea pots and especially Silver plated tea pots but may need few tablets

You do not need and chemicals, dishwashers or anything to remove the tea stains from your cup or mug. I wash my mug one a week and all I do is fill my mug with cold water let it sit for about a minute ( I don't think that it even needs to be that long) then I just wipe the mug out with a sponge or chux and it comes beautifully clean. Only light pressure is required. I really feel out of sorts if I don't have my 15 odd mugs a day. Keep enjoying your tea.

While it is one of life's simple pleasures, tea is one of the main causes of stained cups. Credit: YouTube/Cleanipedia.

Yet another article that we could do without. Nevertheless, it was interesting to see what different people use to eliminate or minimize the use of elbow grease. Stop being so lazy and use 20-30 seconds of it instead of buying (yes, that is called spending money) a plethora of concoctions that take more time than necessary. One household manager suggested a good 3-letter product but obviously has not used it often enough to see that it does not have 4 letters.

Gumption from woolies, coles….
Always keep a pot under the sink
Just a light wipe over the surface with your sponge and cleans cups, Cupboard doors, etc
Cups go into sink for rinse
Cupboard doors just need a clean damp cloth after to remove any residue 👍

I'm a 4 cup a day coffee drinker and hubby 2 cup a day tea drinker.

Honestly clean the cups properly each day and occasionally with just steel wool and in seconds no marks at all .

Are people actually cleaning cups properly after each wash 🤔
