In 1977 I was living in the USA. McDonalds Restaurant was having a competition in conjunction with a local radio station called ‘Dinner for two at McDonalds anywhere in the world’. I won that competition and chose to come to Australia. My girlfriend and I got our dinner and we were escorted by one of their Supervisors by the name of Neil. I though he was a bit handsome! Neil took my friend and I sightseeing around Melbourne. We were only there a week but I loved it. Neil said come back anytime so I decided to come back for a longer visit. I came back for a month and saw a lot more of the country. Upshot is that on the night before I was to leave for home Neil proposed and I said Yes!!! So I went home got everything sorted to move to Australia. Neil and I were married in September 1978 and have been now been for 45 years!!

1964 I was a new wife, my husband and I had gone to stay with his parents and sister for a few days.On Valentines Day hubbys’s sister received a card in the mail and was racking her brain as to who would have sent it. It was actually for me as both our surnames were now the same and our first initial was a J. My husband wanted to tell her it was mine but it was so funny watching her trying to work out who would have sent it that we kept quiet and she doesn’t know to this day. 🤣

At a works picnic when I was 15years old I was sitting on a rug when a good looking boy came and sat next to me , and my heart started to jump ,and we talked and talked and I felt like I had known him my whole life . We have now been married for 71 years . He still makes my heart jump .and we still talk and laugh together. He has been the love of my life for over 74years

I met my wife of 50 years in 1970 while on a migrant ship. She was one of a group of four. At first l fancied one of the other girls, but she wasn't interested in me. On our first stop we were to meet up. But they left me behind. Upon return to the ship one was missing. Turned out she a touch of sunstroke and had gone to bed. It was suggested l go see how she was, so l did. We became "very" close friends. She was returning to her family in Adelaide, and l came to Melbourne. We had a long distance relationship. Got engaged after two years, and married a year later. Still going strong.

😮 I love your story😍

We have sailed New Zealand, South Pacific, New Caledonia, and Northern Queensland visiting remote islands and exploring hidden gems. We love making memories with many laughs and funny everyday stories and we celebrate every night like it's an anniversary with special dinners and many sunsets. To commemorate our adventures and eternal love, we decided to get matching tattoos. "YOLO" in ink represented the freedom, strength, and unity we found in each other during these journeys, serving as a permanent reminder of the incredible time we spent sailing through these unpredictable waters. We felt closer to each other than ever before. With hearts full of excitement and a sense of adventure, we are setting sail heading towards Asia, ready to embrace the unknown and create new chapters in our story. Little do we know what awaits us on this next leg of our journey, but we are certain that whatever challenges or surprises come our way, (which they will, and they do!) we will face them together, hand in hand, as we have always done. We embraced the challenge of the unknown, knowing that our love and bond (and Chris’s sailing knowledge) would keep us strong and safe no matter what. We are ready to take on the world.......well Asia for now.! ....YOLO!

When I was teaching in a tiny rural town - only about 30 houses in town, the other teacher, with whom I shared the "teachers' house", had the most fun time one Valentine's Day. We made some rather beautiful, red heart cut outs and attached a small chocolate to each and the message "With love from your Secret Valentine Have a lovely day!". When it was all quiet and dark, the night before, we popped around and left one at every house in town. We had to be very quiet and had to basically deliver them to the front doors, as the town was way too small for letter boxes. The next day there were lots of delighted, but very curious people, all wondering where these tiny day brighteners had come from. We had one, too, of course, and just joined in the wondering along with everyone else. Nobody ever found out it was us, and nor were we even suspected. It certainly was a super fun day to bring a smile to lots of faces!!

My late husband and I met at a High School where he was the Dep Principal and I was Head of my Dept. We had similar ideas on a lot of policies and behaviours ,we then met up after hours to formulate where we were heading. We married, love cats and dogs ,which we showed at Various Shows..one became top of the tree so to speak. We bought 30 acres and had horses and cows who then had their babies. Disaster struck when he had a Heart Attack, he passed away, 29 years ago but our love remains eternally strong , I value all our wonderful INSPIRATIONS and MEMORIES,

Memories are made of these😍great story.😊

My man and I found each other because of our love of dancing cheek to cheek.
I went out with a girl friend. Popped into the dance room to have a sticky beak.
A handsome young man asked me to dance, I said yes and we have been an item ever since.
We knew we were meant to be after that first dance, no question about it.
The proposal was nothing more than us deciding to stop this dilly dallying about and take the final step as soon as possible.
After 44 years together, we are finally getting used to each other. The occasional dance in the lounge room brings back the good days, but we are nowhere as nimble now as we used to be. It's more like a totter together, but it is always nice to hold each other they way you do when you dance.
Life is good when you find someone special to share it with you.
There are times to laugh and time to cry, but it has always been together.
We have never been apart for even a night and are comforted by our closeness still after all these years.

I was 13 and playing pool at the 500 snooker room at Dulwich Hill with a friend when my eyes met the biggest blue eyes and dark hair longer than mine.

I had a fan girl crush on Jon English and the singer from Hush , and this guy looked across between both of them

His friend came over to ask us if we wanted to play doubles and that was the start to our relationship.

Turned out we also attended the same school Dulwich Hill High.
I often jigged school and went home early , he would see me leaving and then walk me to class .

We jumped many hurdles , he was Greek I was an Aussie girl. My family didn't want me with a Greek and his wanted him with Greek girl not an Aussie .

The two years later We found out I was pregnant so we then moved in together , everyone thought it wouldn't work and that we were too young.

I was 16 and he just turned 19 when our daughter was born.

Today we have 13 kids, 19 grandchildren and still together after 49 years . I'm 62 he is 65

This is us now holding two of our granddaughter's
