The PSA cautioned that there is a choking hazard and risk of serious injury if young children access and ingest button or coin batteries or insert them into their bodies.
Additionally, it noted that consumers might not realise these products contain button batteries.
The Secret Agent Invisible Spy Pens are UV light pens designed for writing secret messages. They are sold in a set with one red and one blue pen and identified by the product code SKU: 26178.
The Light Bulb Key Ring is a novelty key ring shaped like a light bulb, with the product code SKU: 28964.
According to PSA, the button or coin batteries in both products are not properly secured, making them potentially accessible to young children.
Moreover, both also lack the required warning information that could alert parents to the dangers within.
‘Consumers must stop using the products immediately and keep them out of reach of children,’ the PSA recall cautioned.
‘Consumers should return the items to the place of purchase to receive a full refund.’
For the Magic UV Pen—Fairies in the Garden, which features a charming fairy design, the issue is slightly different.
While the battery may be secure, the pen's instructions are missing critical warning information.
