Lovely orchids
Is that slab of wood from tasmania because I’ve got six slabs off different trees similar, from the west coast of tasmania from Radfords (I think his name was) in tullah many moons ago.

Is that slab of wood from tasmania because I’ve got six slabs off different trees similar, from the west coast of tasmania from Radfords (I think his name was) in tullah many moons ago.

You are onto it the slab is huon pine as is stump it sits on, got stump from river bed with a mate of mine near Strahan we had permits which are very hard to get, the slab is from a tree which is estimated to be 3,000 years old the rings equal to ten years of growth, have made a lot of tables small and large, don't do anymore because of health. As you can see by orchid growing, bit easier than trapping around West Coast. Little side not played on the Oval at Queenstown, bit harsh on the body are the good old days

I was going to sell mine got them valued worth a fortune but I’ve got too attached to them so I’ll leave them to my family to fight over when i kark it.
