The secret is out, thanks to Aussie Tiktok Tammy Christina, who shared her awe-inspiring experience at Luke's Table at the Pylon Lookout in a video that has since gone viral. Locals and tourists are clamouring for a chance to dine in this sky-high eatery.

The brainchild of celebrity chef Luke Mangan, Luke's Table was conceived during the COVID-19 pandemic as a beacon of hope and rejuvenation for Sydney's hospitality and tourism sectors. Mangan's vision was to create a unique dining experience to draw people back into the city's wine bars and restaurants. After overcoming the challenges posed by the Harbour Bridge's heritage status, the restaurant opened as a pop-up and has since cemented its place as a permanent fixture.

For $345 per person, the experience is as comprehensive as it is breathtaking. It begins with a welcome mocktail and a historic Pylon Lookout and Museum tour. Guests are then treated to champagne and canapes on the alfresco deck, where the city's iconic landmarks are on full display.

The restaurant, which seats just 20 diners, offers an intimate setting and the option for exclusive hire. The three-course menu is expertly paired with a glass of wine for each course, adhering to the safety requirements of the Pylon Lookout. The menu is a testament to culinary excellence, featuring dishes such as Sydney Rock Oysters, Kingfish sashimi with sesame dashi, Shimo Wagyu beef fillet with porcini puree, and a dedicated cheese course.

Running a restaurant in such a unique location is no small feat. The staff meticulously set up and packed the entire establishment each night, including a temporary kitchen. During the day, the space serves as a museum and lookout, requiring all produce to be transported up the stairs in cooler bags due to the absence of a lift.

Since its launch in 2022, Luke's Table has enjoyed an 'incredible' response, with reservations often booked out months in advance. For those wary of heights, the restaurant's design ensures a comfortable experience, with indoor dining and balcony railings that provide both safety and stunning views.

Diner Tammy Christina's experience highlights the magic of Luke's Table. Despite initial apprehension about the height, she found the balcony secure and the interaction with the kitchen staff, as they prepared dishes and served Luke's own wine, to be a highlight of her evening. The steak, she claims, was 'one of the best' she's ever had.

The buzz around this 'hidden' gem is palpable, with comments on Christina's video ranging from 'insanely fantastic' to eager anticipation from those wishing to experience it for themselves.

Do they serve a "GOOD Steak & a Lobby" meal which won't send you bankrupt?

Do you have to pre book a table before hand?

Do they have a "Time" limit per table to consume your meal?

Sounds like, maybe , a lot of prospective customers will have to do a "Sir Edmund Hillary" to reach the summit.

Do they give you time to recouperate the climb before they want you to order?

Do they have a 1st aid officer on hand for anyone who may suffer from sheer exhaustion of excessive exercise in climbing?

It's all one almighty "?" to entertain & consider before embarking on the "Journey" up.

How bizarre! I remember visiting a friend and his lady who were living in a flat in one of the harbour bridge pylons back in 1974. It certainly wasn't anything 'upmarket', just your standard (if not a little unique) 1974 hippy flat, complete with a good selection of beanbags, low carved Chinese coffee table in the middle. etc. As a group of artists, we used to occasionally go for walks across the harbour bridge 'the long way' as we called it, over the top of the big coathanger. In 1974 you could just go through the unlocked gate and do it. Now you can't do that walk without a harness, overalls, and a wad of money to pay for the 'once in a lifetime' tourist-trap experience.

At $345 just for Dinner is just beyond ridiculous! People that pay that must have a lot of money. Some people cannot afford to eat properly. Shame on them for wasting so much just on a meal, NO meal is worth that. Why not help others if you have so money money?

I'm sure that they had enough trouble helping each other walking up and down all of those steps. But I do agree that $345 per head is a damn lot of money for a meal and a few drinks.
