Unreceived notice​

I had a similar situation with the Sheriff office here in Melbourne where they sent me a final notice with double the amount when I did not receive a notice reminder. I have been back and forth with several communications (phone calls/forms they asked me to fill online) for nearly two months now and I still have not had a resolution.
It seems looking at the comments here that other people are in the same boat.
