With Coles Deli Thawed Australian MSC Raw Banana Prawns at $14 per kilo, KB's Deli Thawed MSC WA Cooked Rock Lobster for $22 each, and Coles Deli Thawed Australian Cooked Black Tiger Prawns Jumbo for $34 per kilo, it's the perfect time to plan a lavish seafood spread for your Christmas lunch.

But if seafood isn't your thing, don't fret. Coles has ensured there's something for everyone. Coles Finest Luxury Christmas Pudding Large is now half-priced at $7.50, and the Quality Street Chocolate Variety Gift Box, a perennial favourite, is down from $30 to just $14.

For those with a sweet tooth, the Coles Indulgent Triple Chocolate Trifle is down from $25 to $20. And if you're looking for festive joy, you can grab a Coles Christmas Advent Calendar for just $3, a significant drop from its original price of $14.50.

The sale also extends to fresh produce and turkey, including the Coles Finest Hunter Valley Free Range Whole Turkey medium minimum 3.8 kg for just $44.

For those who've left their gift wrapping and card writing to the last minute, Coles is offering huge discounts on wrap, cards, and crackers.

Coles Executive General Manager of Fresh, Andy Mossop, said the supermarket giant put in the work to offer these discounts to customers.

'We know price is a major factor for our customers during the festive season, and that's why we've worked hard with our fantastic suppliers to provide customers with value throughout December, delivering quality products while keeping prices as low as possible,' he said.

Coles stated that customers are expected to purchase 400 tonnes of prawns across the weekend leading into Christmas. It comes after an ‘abundance of supply’ of Australian prawns, stating that aquaculture and wild prawns–the country’s two main sectors—have had ‘fantastic years’.

The abundance of prawns is due to a combination of factors. Read more about its price drop here.

Coles Ambassador and former Masterchef contestant Courtney Roulston said the discounted prices are the perfect chance to shop for Christmas day must-haves.

'For me, Christmas is all about creating memories, and nothing says “memorable” like a table piled high with Banana Prawns, ready to be peeled and devoured together,' she said.

Roulston also shared some tips on how to enjoy Australian Raw Banana Prawns this festive season.

'There are so many ways to enjoy Australian Raw Banana Prawns this time of year, like butterflied and barbecued with a little garlic butter and fresh herbs, paired with mango and avocado for a refreshing summer salad, or cut up with fennel and cranberry and served in any leftover dinner rolls,' she suggested.

‘Remember, if you have cooked prawns on your table this year, be sure to serve them on ice for longevity and freshness.’

So, if you're still scrambling to get your Christmas shopping done, head to your local Coles for some fantastic deals.

You can also check Coles’ astounding festive range—from the traditional centrepiece and party starters to the main event and sweet desserts, you surely don’t want to miss these deals from Coles! Check out the full list here.

But remember, these discounts won't last forever, so take advantage of them while you can!

Umm these are not 50% off they are prices that occur throughout the year on normal specials. I didn't see anything on that list that was any different as for the seafood that is normal Xmas prices! Thieving supermarkets couldn't lie straight in bed !

it's still 50% RECOMMENDED RETAIL, the price the manufacturers set, up to the retail what margin they apply.

A pity they don't think of diong it before the Christmas break.

The banana prawns sounded good until I read the word "thawed". To hell with it! I might get some for my special fried rice and honey king prawns, if they are big enough!

But remember, these discounts won't last forever, so take advantage of them while you can!

Coles response to when the prawns are back to $28 a kilo.

"Oh that was yesterday but only from 11 am till 12 noon". Typical!

Coles should give discounts. I bought a Mrs H S Balls chutney
in Coles yesterday for over $6 and Aldi will have it in store on Dec 27th for $3.99. Not surprising they are making huge profits from those who are struggling.

That's not the permanent price, just one of the weekly 'special buy' priced [loss leader] items that isn't part of the yearly inventory? Can't compare a weekly special with the recommended retail of the manufacturer/supplier. PS: there is no guarantee it will be in stock, most stores that stock Mrs HS products are finding it difficult to get sufficient stock. Make sure you get back to us if you do find it in store.

The prices have been changed that many times, I seriously doubt if anyone really knows what the actual RRP is anymore, even Coles themself. Prices are up and down like a brides nightie.

promoted Coles Deli Thawed Australian MSC Raw Banana Prawns

The only thing "memorable" about eating raw Banana prawns is the food poisoning and other illnesses received -Stomach pain, Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhea, Dizziness.

It's ideal to cook them first, or buy them already cooked (at a higher price, of course!)
