Uncovered: Secrets of the Disturbing Sign Found at ‘Posh’ Sydney Woolworths Supermarket Store

Authorities are finally uncovering the truth behind the controversial sign found in the car park of a Sydney Woolworths supermarket.

A bizarre photograph, which is currently making rounds on social media, garnered hundreds of reactions and comments from astounded Facebook users.

“I used to live there, I never realised that the hoity toity people of Neutral Bay were so inclined,” said one user.

Another Facebook user said: “Am having a serious WTF moment.”

Wrote a third: “I am thinking the people who s*** in parking lots don’t read signs or do as the sign says.”

Disturbing note

The notice, reportedly spotted “over a year ago” in the parking area at Woolworths Neutral Bay, shows a squatting figure defecating with a large red cross through it, along with the words “no public pooping”. Also, the sign specifically reads: “DO NOT DEFECATE in the Woolworths Neutral Bay car park” which implies that a poo-ing incident may have happened before in this posh suburb of Sydney.

Who’s responsible?

Woolworths management and staff confirmed to 7NEWS.com.au that the retail giant did not authorise the notice. In fact, Woolworths does not manage the car park where the sign was found to begin with.

Apparently, the sign was created and placed in the car park by a concerned resident or shopper a little over 12 months ago and has recently begun to go viral on Facebook for unknown reasons.
