Unbelievable Behavior: Discover Why Parents Are Outraged Over This Queensland Teacher's Feline Antics!

In a tale that seems more suited to a quirky children's book than real life, a Queensland high school teacher has sparked a furore among parents for her unconventional classroom demeanour – one that closely mimics the behaviour of a domestic cat. This peculiar situation has unfolded at Marsden State High School, located in the city of Logan, just south of Brisbane's bustling CBD, where the teacher in question has reportedly taken her feline affinity to new heights.

According to reports first published in the Courier Mail, the teacher has been observed hissing at students, licking the back of her hands during class hours, and even donning cat ears while teaching. The school, which boasts a large student body of over 3500, has become the centre of a rather unusual educational controversy.

The teacher, who has requested to be referred to as 'Miss Purr,' seems to have fully embraced her cat persona, complete with a lanyard emblazoned with the word 'purr.' This behaviour has left some students and their families bewildered and concerned. One relative of a student claimed that the teacher not only hisses and growls when questioned but also insists on being called by her chosen moniker, reacting with screeches and growls if students fail to comply.

The relative's account paints a picture of a classroom environment that is anything but ordinary, with the teacher engaging in what has been described as 'absolutely disgusting' behaviour. The situation has escalated to the point where another student's relative reported that their child has resorted to 'barking' at the teacher in response to her antics.

Understandably, parents are expressing frustration and dismay over what they perceive as a departure from the standard educational experience they expect for their children. They are calling for educators who can provide reliable instruction and serve as role models, not those who indulge in eccentric displays that include wearing animal ears.

The Department of Education has taken note of the complaints, and the school's principal has reportedly addressed the issue with the teacher. 'The school is aware of parents' concerns, and the principal has addressed the issue directly with the teacher,' a spokesperson for the Queensland Department of Education said.

While the full details of the discussions between the principal and the teacher remain confidential, the community is left to ponder the balance between creative teaching methods and maintaining a respectful and effective learning environment.

That teacher is far from purrrfect.

That's crazy sounds like she is living out some sort of fantasy 🤔

I remember in high school having a teacher who we knew smoked pot ect and always spoke openly with us. He always expected a hugh standard of work from us . We all thought he was the coolest teacher.
He always had the highest number of students attending and achieving high marks

Well if she starts using cat litter I’d say they have a serious problem lol. I’ve heard some high school students are identifying as cats, I believe they call themselves furries. It’s a bit much when the teacher is doing it too.

I used to have an odd maths teacher. Mr Murphy.
Before he began teaching the lesson, he used to sit at his desk and break up a good batch of chalk into little pieces and lie them in a pile on his table.
Instead of calling on students for answers, or wanting their attention, he used to chuck a piece of chalk at their heads.
He was an odd bod.
Needless to say, I am more a words person, than a numbers person. Could be the result of chalk missiles.

I read an article about this yesterday, but it referred to a male teacher as does the video clip, so is this a 2nd teacher who thinks she is a cat.....and what the hell is happening to our schools these days.
If your child isn't sure what they want to do when they leave school, tell them that Psychologists and Psychiatrist will be in demand and maybe they should follow that path, every second person has some kind of mental health issue these days and its only going to get worse. If this is progress, I don't want anything to do with it.

And to think that they get paid a very good salary with lots of holidays each year and then they want to behave like your loving feline at home....if she starts jumping into the lap of the male students and starts nuzzling up to them then she will really get herself into trouble....and so will the school....there will be more court cases going around than ever seen before in the Education Department. Someone please get out the old "Cat of nine tails".

Just the sort of behaviour you want your child modelling themselves after. This just irritates me. Once upon a time, teachers were respected. Our kids wanted to be “just like Mr/miss so and so”. And now we are expected to entrust our child’s future to fruit loops who don’t know what gender or even what creature they are? Bloody ridiculous.

This is going to far...my granddaughter told me last year they girls at her school who identified as a cat. They would purr and meow. I saw an Adult female at a V8 supercars race meet, she had cat ears, a tail, then sat on the grass next to her male friend who started patting her head, as she stroked her head against his leg!!!
The world has gone mad! Anyone can identify as what ever they want..and you have to be fine with it.
My poor grandkids.............

Methinks someone is angling for a section 8 (think Corporal Klinger in MASH) to retire from the Education Department with a bigfat pension for life.
Disgusting?

I wouldn't go that far. Anybody would think that the teacher was licking her own butt.

Physically impossible.
If it was possible, no doubt would not be out of the question. The disgusting thing is because the loony behaviour might be copied by impressionable minds.
