Two garlic peeling tricks that leave social media stunned — "What is this sorcery?"

We all know that peeling garlic can be a bit of a pain. But luckily, one woman has found a quick and easy hack that will make the task a whole lot easier.

Sydney school teacher and mum-of-one Katie Lolas, who goes by Lady Lolas online, demonstrated the handy trick in a video posted to her Instagram page.

In the clip, the mum crushes a bulb of garlic with her hand to separate the cloves before placing them in a container.

Katie then closes the lid and shakes it around until the skin comes away.

“All you have to do is place the garlic that you want to be peeled inside a container, place the lid on that container and shake, and there you have it – peeled garlic,” she said in the video.

The hack can save you valuable time and energy, and you'll be able to get dinner on the table that much faster!

The video amassed more than 1,600 likes and hundreds of comments from users who were stunned by the unusual technique.

One person wrote: "Jaw on the floor!"

"What is this sorcery?" another jokingly asked.

A third exclaimed: "If this actually works you might have just changed the course of my whole life!"

Another garlic-peeling hack also made the rounds on social media after YouTube content creator Jenny Stewart shared her "miracle" method on the video-sharing platform.

According to Jenny, all you need to do is to simply heat the garlic in a microwave on high for 20 seconds and the cloves will slip right out of their peels.

Be careful when handling the garlic though as it will be hot.

Jenny advises to cautiously pick it up or place it in a bowl before pinching one end of the clove to separate the garlic flesh from the peel.

Thousands of viewers raved over the tip.

One comment read: "This is a pretty good method. There is still some peeling involved but this makes it easier."

"Omg this made my entire cooking so darn easy," another said.

This has been around and around on so many different sites for years.
It works sometimes, as far as being life changing, i doubt it, but you never know if someone actually has a brain to begin with.!!!

My former mother in law was Scicilian and showed me how to peel garlic very quickly and easily, I have been doing it this way for years and have also seen well known Chefs do it this way on TV, take the individual cloves out of the bulb and lay flat, then either using the heel of your hand or the flat blade of a knife press down on the clove until you hear the skin crack, the skin will then peel off easily. Works for me
