Treating gonorrhea

Gonorrhea is the most common venereal disease worldwide and has been known for centuries. This is a bacterial infection with Neisseria gonorrhoeae transmitted during unprotected sex. At first, the disease is almost asymptomatic. For this reason, sex is often continued in the absence of protection. Left untreated, gonorrhea can be complicated by infertility in both men and women. The disease can also be transmitted to the newborn from the mother.

Causes
The disease, caused by gonococci or Neisseria gonorrhoeae during unprotected sex, is notifiable. A distinction is made between genital gonorrhea affecting the sexual organs and extra-genital gonorrhea affecting other organs.

Symptoms
The incubation period (time between infection and the onset of the first symptoms) is two to five days. Symptoms of genital gonorrhea are: Inflammation of the genital mucous membranes with the appearance of a yellow-greenish discharge, Pain in the perineum and bladder, Pain when passing urine in men; in women the infection is usually asymptomatic, with the exception of a discharge which is often mistaken for normal vaginal discharge.

Subsequent complications:
Pain during intercourse
In men, the infection can manifest as inflammation of the prostate - or prostatitis - which is characterized by urgent urination, pain when passing stools and fever.
Inflammation of seminal vesicles and spermatic cord.
Inflammation of the epididymis (redness, swelling, pain on palpation, fever);
sterility can result

In women, inflammation of the fallopian tube; it can result in infertility

Preventive measures
The only preventive measure against gonorrhea is to use condoms during sex. Gonococcal infection does not imply any immunity. Thus, the subject can contract the disease again after a first infection.

Treatments
Crush a handful of Carica papaya leaves and Senecio serratuloides leaves and boil in 1 L of water for 20 min. Take 1 tablespoon (25 ml) three times a day
Or simply: Make a 15-minute decoction with a handful of Carica Papaya leaves in 1 liter of water. Filter and drink 150 ml morning, noon, evening for 2 days. Repeat the treatment up to 3 days, after the burning sensation has completely disappeared.
