Chef Manu, a French celebrity chef and TV judge on the hit show My Kitchen Rules, has rolled out his own sauce range. Now, fans of the celebrity chef will be able to share in his passion for sauces with the arrival of The Sauce by Manu range at select Coles stores.
According to chef Manu, this venture is ‘more than just sauce’ to him. ‘This is my personal passion. Sharing my passion for making your everyday dinners better,’ he explained.
The TV star said that his exclusive range offers customers a fresher, more convenient, and more authentic product with ‘no nasties’.
‘I believe that a good sauce is the key element that brings a meal together. So, along with my team, I’ve created a range of unquestionably great French classic sauces that I want Australia to fall in love with,’ he said on his website.
The Sauce by Manu range was developed after undergoing five years’ worth of trial and error and researching for the best sauce recipes for the retail market. The chef’s mission was to bring an authentic feel to food and home cooking by combining real ingredients, hard work, and passion in each packet.
‘Creating The Sauce by Manu range over the past five years has been a huge passion project for me, with my aim for the whole By Manu range to provide home cooks with fresh, real ingredients that are made with skill and not full of additives,’ the chef explained.
He also added that the sauces he created are what he makes at home, and now he wants customers to enjoy them as well.
The chilled sauce range’s flavours are Peppercorn, Diane, Mushroom Steak, White Sauce and the iconic French Steak sauce.
Each sauce pack takes a few minutes to heat and prepare and is made without additives, preservatives or added sugar – and is gluten-free. However, once opened, the packets must be consumed within 3 to 5 days. If still sealed, each packet has a shelf life of 180 days from the manufacturing date.
‘I have lost count of how many times on My Kitchen Rules I have had to ask for sauce or have had to score a poorly made sauce,’ Chef Manu recalled.
He added: ‘The right sauce brings a whole meal together, and I hope this range will also bring Australian families together around the dinner table.’
Coles also made a statement about this new sauce range: ‘Recent consumer insights have shown that Coles customers are looking for fresher, healthier, real food options and are conscious of buying products that have too many additives.’
They added that The Sauce by Manu provides healthier alternative options to sauces that have been ‘designed for a long shelf life and contain more preservatives’.
Coles Local Business Category Manager Stacey Sutcliffe says that the supermarket giant is ‘always on the lookout’ for new products and ‘fresh ways’ to delight consumers when it comes to choosing what to make for dinner.
She also stated that based on their research, Coles customers often seek simple meal solutions that are ‘quick, easy, and tastes great’.
‘The Sauce by Manu range is the perfect option for those who want to cook a gourmet meal but don’t have the time to make a sauce from scratch,’ she said.
