Hi I thought I would start a thread for travel tips. I love visiting new places and old. I like to do something different ie not the usual tourist destinations, to discover something rare/unusual or must not be missed places.
I think this may be a good place to share ideas about where we are going/where we are living, and draw on the wealth of knowledge that has do be within us all.
To kick things off - I live on the Sunshine Coast, not far from Brisbane. If you need tips about this area happy to share.
My next trip is to Melbourne for a week, in early January, with 2 friends. What are some of the most interesting/unusual things to do in Melbourne? I have been there a few times before, so looking for something out of the ordinary. Staying in the CBD, no car.
Look forward to seeing what’s next.

Hi! Welcome to the forum :) I don't have any special tips to share myself but I'm hoping our other members will share some hacks!

Hi, I live on the Mornington Peninsula, we have lots of wineries, so I wine tour is a must. Beautiful beaches, millionaires mile Portsea, Sorrento and back to Melbourne on the other side of the peninsula. Enjoy your trip.

Have you tried the Chardonnay from Aus that has been voted the best in the world?

Thanks so much. Definitely will spend a day there. I hear there are hot springs down that way. Any thoughts on whether that is worth a look. Have been to Hepburn so not an essential.
