Transform and Stylise Your Pantry With These Budget-Friendly Kmart Hacks
We’ve likely all been there before. We go to our pantry and think about how we should keep it better stocked, organised, and overall neater. But sometimes, it’s simply too expensive to do so. But what if I told you that you can actually level up your pantry on a budget?
An Instagram user by the name of ‘Kmart Hack Queen’ has recently shared with her followers a complete makeover of her home pantry on a limited budget through Kmart deals and finds.
The pantry overhaul was showcased by the account’s owner Samantha in an Instagram reel that brought her followers up close to the new and improved pantry.
Samantha’s remodelling began with a simple overhaul to her spice jar rack door which she covered with a layer of dotted adhesive vinyl. This can be purchased for $1.50 per piece (200x45 cm) at Kmart.

This simple addition to her spice jar rack door completely transformed the look and feel of her pantry for a very small cost. It’s almost as if it were brand new!
Removing out-of-date baking supplies like flour and baking powder from the main cupboard was next on the list for Samantha in her pantry overhaul. She even made sure to purchase brand-new containers for her pantry to make everything match and have a more uniform look.
Samantha specifically went for plastic containers with a great seal and clip lids over the previous glass ones she used that would easily break and shatter when accidentally dropped.
One shelf in Samantha’s pantry was dedicated to different oils and salts that were elegantly arranged on top of a clear storage turntable she purchased from Kmart for $7.50.
Below the oils and salt shelf was a glass cake stand placed neatly in one corner that stored gorgeously made muffins.
Samantha also organised all of her snacks, crackers, and dried food inside easily-accessible roller storage baskets with each having its own respective label. She got these plastic containers for $9 a piece at Kmart.
The roller storage baskets made everything easier to access with their front lids, and as an added bonus, they can also easily be moved around thanks to the built-in wheels!
Below the roller storage baskets, Samantha opted to use larger clear pantry storers for bulkier storage of general goods such as chips, noodles and more snacks. These larger plastic containers cost $12 each.
To add just a little more flair to her pantry containers, Samantha also purchased a white metal bread bin with a wooden lid for $16 that goes well with the new refreshed look of her pantry.
A complete overview of all the items she used on her pantry’s makeover is neatly written on an Instagram post that details the price and retailers she purchased her items from.

Samantha’s journey to transform and stylise her pantry on a budget shows that it’s possible to make your home pantry a little bit more beautiful and organised without spending too much. You just have to put in a little effort and creativity to realise the pantry of your dreams! We’re big fans of the less cluttered, more grandkid-friendly result. We definitely think we’d be more inspired in the kitchen if our pantry looked this good!
