Children appear to be being raised with a sense of entitlement. This entitlement means there is no need for children to show respect to anybody or anyone and there is also a diminishing sense of needing to work for what you want, just demand and it will happen!

I'll second that, today's children have no manners and do not have respect for anyone including their own parents. It is the grandparents fault this happens because in the majority of cases they did not teach their children respect so how can the present generation learn from ignorant parents!

I can remember my daughter coming home from school in year 6 with an A4 size list of her RIGHTS that her teacher had given out to everyone. I said that's great, then typed up an A4 size list of her RESPONSIBILITIES. The trouble is they are only ever told their rights. So we shouldn't really be surprised at their sense of entitlement.
