The real question is - why on earth are you still buying them? Wait until they're in season in most places and they'll be much nicer to eat. And yes, by all means buy tinned tomatoes. Nothing wrong with that!

PS. You could also try growing your own - it's easy, even in small spaces.

Super market tomatoes are GM. I buy from local markets, the ones I eat raw. Or if Organic are marked down, buy them. Normal tomatoes, marked down, I buy for cooking only.

We turned a veranda into a sort of greenhouse room where we can just pull the sliding doors back to walk into.We have quite a few tomatoes nearly ready and other vegetables and herbs.
