Typically cheerful and outspoken, Today host Karl Stefanovic remained silent after shocking allegations were made about him by an unnamed waiter.
He allegedly touched the waiter during a Mercedes-Benz melanoma charity fundraiser in Brisbane in August.
The 48-year-old hosted the event, with his wife Jasmine in attendance, raising a whopping $290,000 for melanoma research.
The allegations circulated quickly across Australia on Thursday, as Stefanovic has been a well-known TV personality for decades.

But on Friday morning, the father of four ignored the rumours on Today show’s Friday morning episode. Meanwhile, temporary co-host Sarah Abo also avoided mentioning anything related to the incident.
The Queensland Police stated that they are currently investigating an alleged assault said to have taken place on August 20.
‘Queensland Police are investigating a report regarding the alleged assault of a man at a Newstead business during an event on Saturday, August 20.’ a spokesman said.
‘As investigations are ongoing, it would be inappropriate to comment further.’
Stefanovic has not been charged. He was in London last week to cover the Queen’s funeral for Channel 9. The Today host flew back to Australia on Wednesday, leaving co-host Allison Langdon to carry on with the proceedings from outside Buckingham Palace alone.
Once known as the golden boy of Australian TV, Stefanovic has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons in recent years. It all started when he split with his now ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn, the mother of his three children.
The pair separated in late 2016 and finalised their divorce in May 2017. At the time, reports emerged that he was dating a fashion designer and model, Jasmine Yarbrough, not so soon after the breakup. He has been married to the model since 2018.

In 2018, he also left tongues wagging after an Uber driver reportedly recorded a 45-minute phone conversation between Stefanovic and his brother Peter–who was travelling in the Uber car with his wife Sylvia Jeffreys during the call–in which he reportedly criticised colleagues and his close friend Richard Wilkins.
The driver allegedly sold the details to a magazine for $50,000, prompting a major scandal to erupt.
In 2019, he was sacked from the Today show, only to return a little over a year later, alongside his new co-host Allison Langdon.
But it seems like Stefanovic isn’t due to leave the hot seat just yet as rumours have been circulating about his second departure from the Today show.
Woman’s Day reported in April that Stefanovic would be stepping away from his position as breakfast television co-host for Channel 9 and would focus on producing more stories for 60 Minutes.
Stefanovic denied the claims, telling 3AW’s Neil Mitchell that the speculations were ‘absolutely bulls**t’.
