If you think this is Price Gouging, try the Petrol Pumps!!
Printed newspapers publishers are no better. Looking at you Fairfax and NewsCorp!

About two years ago, I bought the Friday's edition of the Melbourne's Herald-Sun. It comprised of 96 pages (I think!) of which about 40 pages were full page advertisments for Harvey Norman, The Good Guys, JB Hi-Fi and Domayne. I did not even include the lesser ads in the total. A great waste of $2.80 which you can find in your letterbox anyway!

I sent a Letter To The Editor highlighting this ripoff, but it was never published, of course!

Yesterday were spotted unleaded for $1.609 a litre (United) and others it was $1.999 a litre
If the same scheme still exists the oil companies call the service stations the price they have to sell fuel for.
A relative of ours had a service station many years ago. We know they definitely got calls about this.
Sometimes they had bought their tankers full of fuel the day before, and the next day they had to drop the price and made a loss on it. The only thing they made a profit on with vehicle servicing. In those days they didn't sell food or drinks etc. They sold out before they went completely broke.
