Tired of makeup stains? This $2.30 Coles hack will save your clothes (and your money!)

If you’re someone who loves to wear makeup (especially foundation) on a regular basis, then you probably have your fair share of makeup stains on some of the nicest clothes you own.

If you don't want a simple foundation stain to ruin your favourite top, you need to find effective cleaning products to get rid of it and make your clothes look as good as new.

Thankfully, a mum-of-two who is also a makeup expert is here to share her foolproof method for removing even the most stubborn foundation stains from clothing – and she only needs a cheap supermarket item!

Chantel Mila, from Melbourne, demonstrated how she removed foundation stain from a crisp white top using only shaving foam from Coles.

According to Chantel, makeup artists all over the world swear by this stain removal hack. And it's true – even celebrities like Kim Kardashian say so!

"There's nothing worse than being completely ready and discovering you've got foundation on your clothes," the media personality said in one of her previous interviews.

Here's how to remove stubborn foundation stains on clothes using shaving cream:
  • The first thing that you need to do is cover the stain with shaving cream and let it sit on top for up to ten minutes.
  • Kim Kardashian also recommends mixing a drop of rubbing alcohol with the shaving cream for better results.
  • After allowing the cream to soak in for a while, scrub the area using either a brush or a piece of soft fabric. According to Chantel, the stain should disappear almost instantly at this point.
  • After that, wash the top as you normally would.

The TikTok video posted by Chantel has been viewed more than 23,000 times, and many of those viewers have commented that they can't wait to give the stain-removal technique a try.

"I have makeup stains all the time," one person wrote, and then they proceeded to thank Chantel for the wonderful hack. "You're a superhero!"

It's likely not news to you that wet wipes can be used to remove stains caused by makeup, but shaving cream? Looks like you've got a new essential item to throw in your handbag…
