Tired of dirty windows? This interior designer-approved DIY cleaning spray will make them shine like new again!

Nothing is as annoying as endlessly wiping down a glass window in an attempt to rid it of all the smudges, dirt, and dust. Those little particles and streaks never quite seem to fully fade out of view!

So, if you’ve been wracking your brain for a quick and easy solution, consider this your lucky day because one interior designer dropped her miracle DIY cleaning spray and the result has left hundreds of Aussies floored.

Interior designer Tabitha Clark took to TikTok to detail how she got her windows outside crystal clear again – and it all boils down to three common ingredients that you most likely already have sitting gingerly in your cupboards.

"Best window cleaning hack! Only a few ingredients and minimal effort!" Tabitha captioned her now-viral video.

To create the cleaning spray, Tabitha reached out for a spray bottle, filled it with two cups of water, half a cup of white vinegar, and a dash of dishwashing liquid. She shook the bottle to mix the ingredients thoroughly and proceeded by spritzing it onto her glass window.

Then, Tabitha grabbed a 2-in-1 window cleaner tool with a sponge and a squeegee on it before using the sponge side to scrub the solution throughout the window.

After that, she hosed down the glass and finished it all off by running the areas down with the squeegee to remove the excess water. Easy peasy!

TikTok users were clearly dazzled by the hack as the video racked up 645,000 views, with many flooding the comments to share their own cleaning tips.

A handful of viewers raved about how well Windex, a popular cleaning product, worked for them rather than the DIY spray, but Tabitha divulged that she wasn’t a fan of it.

"Windex always leaves streaks for me," she said.

"I've used this DIY spray and it’s much better than Windex. Try it!" one of Tabitha's followers posted.

Among the cleaning suggestions mentioned in the comments were dishwashing tablets in hot water, vinegar, and newspaper.

A couple of users added that they use the same spray Tabitha makes but with added alcohol – and there seemed to be plenty who opted for using just dish soap, water, or vinegar by themselves.

One follower vouched for Tabitha’s hack but recommended using a different cleaning tool.

"Greatest combo ever for glass windows! But use a dry eraser instead of a sponge... Especially with dog nose prints! It's magic!” they said.

But one more couldn’t help but point out how risky hosing down glass windows is, saying: “Always be careful not to use too much water pressure when you rinse. It can break the seal in your double glass window.”

Another warned about the potential for hard water stains and suggested just using the squeegee after cleaning the area with the spray.

Well, there you have it, folks! A natural, inexpensive, and quick solution to getting your glass windows spotless.

Have you ever used this killer combination before or is this the first you’ve heard of it? Share your thoughts with us in the comments!

Replace the cloth or squeegee with NEWSPAPER and you won't have streaks or leftover lint again. For mirrors or windows. I've done this forever. Works a treat. I'm always surprised when others don't know.
