Expressing your love through gift-giving can leave you feeling personally fulfilled… But your wallet despairingly empty. If you’ve ever wondered how to NOT spend a fortune on gift shopping, you’ll be glad to know that one bargain hunter revealed just how.
Kylie shared the secret to saving hundreds of dollars on shopping for presents throughout the year. She took to a popular Facebook group called ‘Markdown Addicts Australia’ to show off her massive haul of kitchen items – all of which amounted to $100 – and it was made possible by simply keeping an eye out for bargains online.
After taking home several discounted items from Robin's Kitchen and House, Kylie shared a snap of her buys with fellow members of the group.
“Every so often I'll jump on their websites and search the clearance section,” she captioned her post. “I purchase things for myself and I purchase a lot to be used as Christmas gifts for friends.”

Kylie was able to snag three food flasks for $12 (down from their usual price of $35) and a Baccarat Le Connoisseur lasagna dish for $15 instead of $70.
Rather than spending $60 for three wooden chopping boards, the frugal mum was able to get them for $20 – and these were the most expensive items she purchased on her shopping spree.
Kylie also bought tea towels, serving boards, a cheese board with a slicer, and a citrus juicer.
Apart from the huge discounted prices that she stumbled on, Kylie also received an extra 25 percent off her total bill! How neat does that sound, eh?
“I do love my Robins Kitchen or House random buys (owned by the same company and stock almost all the same products at the same prices),” she added.
Robins Kitchen is currently selling Baccarat kitchen appliances and pots for half their original prices and if that doesn’t sound enticing enough, they are also retailing cookware sets and knife blocks at a 75 percent discount. Meanwhile, House is holding a 75 percent discount on winter items!

In response to Kylie’s post, one user shared how she also took advantage of the bargains as she purchased a whopping total of 21 items for $156.75.
The haul included $15 food jars, $4 coasters, a $5 biscuit mould, knife sets, $10 whisks and $2 wine charms.
“I did an order on the weekend. Food flasks were a steal and got the same cheese knives. Also a pasta machine and lots of other stuff. Can't wait for it to come!” the woman wrote.
“Robins kitchen in Campbell town was actually clearing out everything in the store last week and had an extra 40% off the sale prices. I bought so many things I didn’t need!” another member commented.
“Wow, you did good!” added a third.
