This young Aussie woman reveals how she made millions by taking a big risk

Making any sort of life change can be scary. After all, going out of your comfort zone and deciding to leave your job, sell your car, and put all of your savings into starting a business isn’t the easiest career move.

But for one young woman from Melbourne, that's exactly what she did – and we're happy to report that it paid off handsomely for her in the end.

Melbourne native, Jordyn Evans, is the founder of Mingle Seasoning, a spice company that has quickly become a household name thanks to its healthy (and delicious) products. The former marketing manager developed a ‘healthy’ gravy that’s now stocked in Coles and has sold more than 17,000 tins within the first month of her product hitting the shelves.

She shared on her TikTok account the heartfelt story of how she started Mingle Seasoning, saying that her gravy recipe was inspired by her dad who is the biggest gravy fan. ‘He smothers it on everything – even his salad!’ She exclaims.

One day while cooking at home, she noticed how high the levels of salt and sugar were in the seasoning she was using – not to mention all of the unnecessary ingredients listed on the label.

‘Other brands contain unnecessary ingredients like milk proteins, vegetable oil, and beverage whitener, and I said to myself “Why do you need to use this?”’ She explained in a recent interview. So she decided to create her own line of seasonings made with healthy, all-natural ingredients.

While her brand landed a $1 million deal with Coles and a $2 million deal with Woolworths, success didn’t come easy for Jordyn. She said that she didn’t pay herself a salary during the first three years of Mingle Seasoning’s developments. She even quit her job and sold her car to invest $40,000 into her new business venture. After all her hard work, Jordyn finally got Mingle Seasoning off the ground.

Jordyn also shared her top tips for anyone out there who's thinking about starting their own business. She said you need to be passionate about your product or service if you want to be successful as an entrepreneur. She also said to ‘Put all of your effort into the brand.’ After all, it takes a lot of dedication and hard work to get a business off the ground. You can't just half-heartedly commit and expect things to work out.

Another tip that she shared is to consider how your product is different, because this will give you an edge against competitors. She also suggests trying to save money wherever you can, ‘When you're first starting out, every dollar counts.’ Lastly, she says to continually reinvest funds back into the brand. This will help grow and expand your brand, and eventually, lead to even more success!

We want to congratulate Jordyn on her amazing achievements so far, and we can't wait to see what she does next. What are your thoughts on this, dear members? Will you be trying out Jordyn’s spices the next time you see them at Coles or Woolies?

Good luck to her. I don't like a lot of suga r and salt in my food. I'll definitely try these.
