This Property Ad Is Turning People Away - Can You Spot Why?

When house hunting online, sometimes it's easy to get swept away by photos of beautiful homes. With their glossy hardwood floors, modern kitchens, and luxurious bathrooms, it's no surprise that some properties can spark a bidding war.

But one property ad recently posted on a real estate website caught the public's attention for all the wrong reasons. Instead of sparking a bidding war, it's turning people away.

House hunters have revealed they've been put off by a photo of a three-bedroom house in Clifton, Nottingham, listed on Rightmove by Bairstow Eves, with an asking price of $313,506!

The home is described as a ‘super investment’. It boasts an entrance hallway, lounge, a fitted kitchen and utility room, three bedrooms, a shower room, a separate toilet and double glazing, off-road parking, and rear gardens.

But if you look closely in the reflection of the living room mirror, you’ll see a gold mirror above a fireplace showing the reflection of a bloody wall with a message underneath that reads 'KEEP OUT'.

And if that wasn’t enough to put you off, wait until you see another horrifying detail in the photo. There’s also an eerie figure of the grim reaper lurking outside the window!

Social media users were quick to pick up on the spooky scene, with some joking, ‘Is there anything I might want to do with the house before taking pictures? Can’t think of anything.’

Another said: 'Do you think that is part of the Halloween theme, or is the seller just a little bit odd?'

A third added: 'Is the grim spectre of death waiting for the new owner?'

But some pointed out that the residents seemed to have forgotten to take down a rather gruesome Halloween decoration before the photos were taken.

Bairstow Eves estate agents later revealed that the homeowner was unhappy with the current residents' ghoulish decorations, which could 'affect his property's marketing.'

The Agency stated that the image would have to be changed, but it has remained online since.

One social media user said it was perfectly fine to leave Halloween decorations up long after October.

'Seller is probably me. Still have Halloween window stickers up from last year as well as our "Santa stop here" window sign.' They said.

Whether you’re a fan of Halloween decorations or not, forming a full-blown horror movie set on one’s property probably won’t make it a standout listing for house hunters anytime soon.
