Auracana, they are a South American breed and gives the genes to breeds like the Cream Legbar that give them blue green eggs. There is an interesting story about a South American ship that ran aground off the coast of Shetland in the Scottish Northern Isles in the 16th century. Carrying chickens to provide eggs they escaped and interbred with local chickens. Being isolated the breed has remained discreet and the Shetland breed of chickens lays the same coloured eggs.
