Australian foodie Adrian Widjy was one of the first people to bring attention to the product after finding it online, sharing a video demonstration of its many uses on his TikTok account. The product is a tool designed for effortlessly slicing, cubing, and eating watermelons.

This $20 invention has taken social media by storm these past few weeks. With some people proclaiming their love for the newest fruit-slicing gadget.

Adrian explains how speechless he was when he first saw how the ‘watermelon fork’ works. ‘You can [scoop] clean this watermelon seamlessly at every angle using this.’ He said. The watermelon fork is made out of sturdy stainless steel and is said to be dishwasher safe.

As soon as Adrian posted his newest Amazon find on TikTok, people went wild. Most have become desperate to buy one for themselves.

You can watch Adrian’s video here:

Someone commented: ‘I’m obsessed’, while another user said that the tool is ‘so useful’. Although, not everyone was impressed with the innovative tool. Others said that the ‘watermelon fork’ is just another way to make a quick buck. Some even commented that a cheaper alternative would be to bend your fork’s outer two prongs.

One person wrote in the comments: ‘Bends two end pieces of a fork and it does the same thing.’

While others weren’t convinced that buying the gadget is necessary. ‘Convenient? Just use a knife’, one commented. Another said: ‘I appreciate the spirit of the invention, but maybe it hasn’t been made because it is not needed.’

Although many had divisive stances on the item’s necessity, the ‘watermelon fork’ is currently sold out on the e-commerce platform, Amazon.

Key Takeaways

  • A ‘watermelon fork’ has people losing their minds over how convenient it is.
  • The fork allows you to slice, cube, and eat watermelon with ease.
  • Some people believe the fork is a ‘must-have’, while others think it is unnecessary.

It seems to be a useful utensil,
but at $20,
my knife or soup spoon are more than adequate.
I have a honey spoon, which has a bent handle so you can hook it over your jar of honey or cooking bowl to let it drip back into the container. Very useful, but only cost a couple of $s years ago.Screenshot_20221130-160729.png
