I gave all my cast iron cookware to my son as I found it far too heavy to deal with. You need muscles like Popeye to lift them when they're empty, when they are filled with food you need a crane!!:ROFLMAO:
My daughter said the same thing. That's why the cast iron I own are small to medium size. Yep they certainly are heavy hopefully I can lift them for a little longer, funny when I have bread in the oven and hubby says he will get it out I say no YOU WILL DROP IT 🤔

they are heavy and that's before food goes in! I went to Aldi this week and had a look around. I had already done my grocery shop and found prices were actually higher on some of them- it really is a shop between stores if looking for best buys. I then found the cast iron cooking pots and there were only 3 pieces, all huge and very heavy, and each one had either chips on the rim of the pot or on the lid. So is a cheaper buy always worth it?

Yes I too had the range of the cast iron pots. Loved them madly until I had Carpel Tunnel Syndrome so could not lift them. Gave them away & have sobbed ever since. Yes somehow Aug 13th I'll be taxi ing for the one I had for bread. Wish I could get a spare hand beater I got from Aldi years ago. A living angel, brand was KUCHEF. Keep an eye out for it. You won't regret it.

Unfortunately cheaper buys are not always worth it. And I do like good quality cookware
