This Bride's Outrageous Demands for Her Bridesmaids Are Causing an Uproar – See Why!

Weddings are a time of joy and celebration, but they can also be a breeding ground for stress and, occasionally, some rather unreasonable expectations. It's not uncommon for brides to want their special day to be perfect, but there's a fine line between seeking perfection and becoming a full-blown Bridezilla. One bride, in particular, has crossed that line with such gusto that her story has gone viral, sparking widespread disbelief and a bit of outrage among netizens and wedding enthusiasts alike.

The anonymous bride-to-be has become the talk of the town – or rather, the talk of the internet – after her list of 'non-negotiables' for her bridesmaids surfaced online. The demands, which were shared on Reddit by a stunned observer, have left many questioning the sanity of such expectations and the future of the friendships between the bride and her bridal party.

The bride's manifesto begins with a declaration of her excitement to have her friends join her on her journey to matrimony, but it quickly takes a turn towards the dictatorial. She insists that her wedding day must be flawless, as she has spent 'countless hours planning every detail' to ensure her day is the 'fairytale' she believes she deserves. The bridesmaids are expected to respect her vision and are warned that she 'won't settle for anything less.'

The theme of her wedding? 'Luxe Boho Glam,' which she compares to the Met Gala, no less. The bride boasts about her wedding announcement video going viral and securing brand deals to cover many of the wedding expenses. As a result, her bridesmaids are told they'll be participating in 'fab brand collabs' as part of the wedding festivities.

The list of demands includes weekly Zoom check-ins, monthly meetings at the exclusive Soho House, and a trip to New York for a 'weekend of luxury dress fittings' with an expected personal expense of at least $700. The bridesmaids are also instructed to begin a beauty regimen immediately, with custom beauty boxes from high-end brands costing around $1,200 each.

The extravagance doesn't stop there. The engagement party is to be 'Safari Barbie' themed, and the bridesmaids are expected to bring their 'A-game.' Following the engagement party, a spa weekend is planned, with each bridesmaid shelling out $500 for a room, while the bride graciously covers the limo cost.

The bachelorette party is set for Ibiza, with the bride hoping everyone's passports and budgets are ready. Hair and makeup trials will cost another $400, and the bridesmaids are also tasked with fully funding and organizing an 'elegant, chic, and totally Instagrammable' bridal shower.

Before the wedding in Miami, there's yet another trip to New York for final dress fittings and brunch. The bridesmaids are expected to have at least $1,000 ready for additional spa days, rehearsals, and parties. The bride's parting reminder to her bridal party is that her wedding day is her 'BIG day' and she expects 'nothing less than perfection.'

The Reddit post has garnered hundreds of comments, with most people expressing shock and disbelief. Some commenters have humorously noted that the bride's list is an effective way to 'lose friends in one page,' while others have pointed out that such 'champagne taste' should come with a budget to match. The sheer audacity of the weekly meetings alone was enough to make some declare they'd abandon ship immediately.

This tale serves as a cautionary reminder that while it's natural to want your wedding day to be special, it's also important to consider the financial and emotional burden such demands can place on friends and loved ones. Weddings are, after all, a celebration of love and partnership, not just a showcase of extravagance and control.

I only had one bridesmaid and didn't see her dress until my wedding day. Her dress was deep pink/maroon and mine light pink. Worked very well.
I told my 2 bridesmaids to get together & work out what sort of dresses they wanted to wear. As long as it was pink I didn’t mind, as long as they felt comfortable & looked good. Whatever happened to the good old kitchen tea?

Gee, it's certainly great to see comments from my year of birth commenting & making sense it wot they say.
i.e., Rob44, Frida1944, myself. How many more of us of our yr are there making SANE comments ? I LUV it. Keep it up.

Many brides lose sight of the Marriage being most important, not the wedding day, which is over in a flash. Such extravagant expectations for one day is ridiculous. The sheer waste of money is mind-numbing. The expectation that brides maids are on board shows great immaturity on the bride's part. I hope the brides maids run as fast as they can!! Having no brides maids no matter how luxurious would not be a good insta look!!!!!

What a rude, selfish, demanding person this bride to be is. Hopefully the chosen bridesmaids all tell her to get stuffed and that she gets a real hard reality check about how unreasonable she is. In this day with the cost of living so high surely a smaller, more intimate wedding would suffice. who needs to try to compete with the over the top extravagance of the ? famous for a wedding, most of their marriages don’t last anyway so it really is a huge waste of money.

I think it will be best if she was a spinster. I shudder to think how her partner will be treated. God help him!
Think of all the sex toys she could buy with $1000 from Girls Go Wild!

She will need them. Hubby would be advised to spent the wedding night down the local pub instead of being with this stuck up slut!

I suspect the groom-to-be knows what his future wife is like. He may be just as “entitled” as she is.

The bridesmaids would have an idea of the future bride’s warped way of thinking.

Perhaps they are all painted with the same brush.

But most likely, this was a fabricated story to raise a few hackles.

Totally believable as real in the world we live in at the moment.

I don’t believe this is real. I think it’s been put up to raise everyone’s hackles and generate comment which it has done. Anyone who demands such outrageous things couldn’t have ‘real’ friends. Totally unreasonable and outside everyone’s friendship nature. If it is true would like to hear how many bridesmaids did conform to the bride’s demands (note not requests)
