If there is one thing people have discovered during the lockdown, it’s their love for baking.
People are spending more time indoors, and brushing up on their cooking and baking skills is the perfect pastime. And despite most of the country finally being out of lockdown, the trend still continues.
Maybe that is why delicious magazine decided to roll out its first-ever baking range, available in all Woolies stores nationwide.
Recipes for the mixes are also available on delicious.com.au. Photo from delicious via news.com.au.
“Over the past 18 months, we’ve seen an increase in customers’ interest in baking as they spend more time at home, and with Christmas quickly approaching we know this will be a popular and easy way to entertain guests,” a spokesperson for Woolworths told news.com.au.
The baking range includes everything one could ever ask for — from upside-down cakes to decadent double choc mousse creations. There are even salted choc-chip cookie pies.
Samantha Jones, the editor-in-chief at delicious said, “We began with some of our best-performing recipes on delicious.com.au, then worked to translate these into clever time-saving packet mixes where we also saw an opportunity to bring bakers flavours they can’t already find on the shelves.”
The current line includes four recipe options to choose from: Cookies & Cream Cake, Salted Choc-Chip Cookie Pie, Upside-Down Golden Syrup Banana Cake, and Double Choc Mousse Cake.
“It is such a beautiful range, and it makes our impressive yet effortless recipes even quicker to create, so I think they will be a hit.”
“Not only that, the ability to ‘pimp’ each cake and take them to another level is a really great way to elevate these packet mixes,” Samantha added.
The delicious team made their own ‘pimped’ versions of the cakes which are featured in the November issue of the magazine, along with simple instructions on how to take the cake mixes to the next level.
Each recipe was created by a team of professionals and foodies. For just $6.50, the mixes also come with guided recipe videos.
To access, you just need to scan the unique QR code on each box for an easy step-by-step preview.
The November issue of delicious magazine is now on sale.
