It may be the season to splash out on a little bit of self-care—but a $77 cult favourite body cream from Mecca might be a bit hard to justify!
Packed with cocoa butter, cupuaçu butter and a tropical coconut fragrance, the Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream promises to smoothen and tighten skin, lessening the appearance of cellulite and word quickly spread about its 'bum-lifting' powers on social media.
While it worked wonders for some, the $77 price tag put it out of reach for many. But ALDI changed the game with their lineup of Sol de Janeiro dupes at a fraction of the cost.
Starting October 25, last year's sell-out star—the $9.99 Lacura Summer Touch Booty Balm—will be available for purchase once again.
Just like its high-end counterpart, ALDI’s dupe contains a tropical scent, guarana extract, and coconut oil to condition and firm problem areas.
The balm is part of ALDI’s Summer Loving Special Buys, which also include a range of Lacura lip balms, oils, creams, haircare, and body washes.
A hand cream and foot cream priced at $6.99 and a shampoo and conditioner priced at $7.99 are the latest addition to the range.
One shopper shared the news on social media, saying: 'Has everyone seen the Sol de Janeiro dupe at ALDI? Glow Oil and Booty Balm, come at me!'
Other social media users also expressed their excitement about the return of these products at ALDI.
'Oh, I hope it smells the same!' One woman said.
'Finally in Oz!' Another replied.
While a third jokingly added: 'Shhhh... Let's not miss out.'
In other news, Kmart shoppers are rushing to grab this $15 dupe of a luxury $1,285 handbag.
Recently, the retailer launched the Jana Trapeze Crossbody Bag as part of its spring style range, a sleek and affordable option that echoes one of the high fashion industry's top designer bags.
The French-inspired bag comes in either pink or black and is designed similarly to the Jacquemus Le Grand Bambino with a structured shape, magnetic flap closure, short handle, slim shoulder strap and fully lined interior.
While the Jacquemus original costs an eye-watering $1,285, Kmart's affordable version costs just $15!
