They're back! Discover where you can find the beloved Chicken Parmi Shapes after a long hiatus
Good news, food fans–a beloved Arnott's Shapes flavour has returned to Australian supermarkets after a long absence.
The Chicken Parmi Shapes were first introduced in 2020, with Shapes fans immediately declaring their love for the flavour. But it wasn’t long before the popular treat was taken off the shelves.
In a customer survey, thousands of Australians voted to bring back their favourite flavour. Fortunately, Arnott’s listened to the overwhelming demand and confirmed they’d be restocking Chicken Parmi as a permanent addition to their Shapes range.
‘You voted and we listened—Chicken Parmi Shapes is the People's Choice! We've brought back the highly requested Chicken Parmi flavour that you all love,’ Arnott’s declared in a social media post.
The savoury snack is a delicious combination of crispy chicken schnitzel, cheese, tomato sauce, and a sprinkle of Italian herbs, and can now be found in-store and online at Coles, Woolworths and independent supermarkets for $4 a box.
It’s safe to say that the return of the old favourite has thrilled shoppers across the country.
But before the Chicken Parmi Shapes could become a permanent fixture in the Arnott’s range, there was one burning question–and no one knew the answer better than Shapes fans themselves.
Aussies seem a little divided over the correct spelling of the snack–while some refer to it as ‘Parmi’, others prefer ‘Parma’.
'Parmigiana, shortened word is parmi. If there was an “A” in the middle you'd have an argument,' one comment said.
Another one pointed out, 'No issues with the spelling, Arnott's got this right.'
'And Arnott's sales have just gone through the roof via free promotion from [people] arguing about spelling,' one person joked.
The debate is still going strong, but Arnott’s has provided a solution–if you grab a box and look closely, you’ll notice a cheeky detail!
'We've heard the nation is divided on “Parmi” vs. “Parma”, and who are we to take one side or the other?’ Arnott’s stated.
'That's why—if you grab a box and look closely—we've included both versions on either side of the box!'
As for other flavours available, Shapes fans also have the original pizza, barbecue, chicken crimpy, cheddar, cheese, and bacon to keep them occupied. You can read more about them here!
Currently, the Chicken Parmi Shapes are on the shelves and members, and we suggest you get some quick while stock is still available.
