The tastiest $9.50 treat you won’t want to miss – Woolworths has just stocked Biscoff’s latest item

Ice cream lovers have always been spoiled for choice. Not only do they have an ever-growing range of flavours to choose from, but there is also a combination of ways to enjoy those delicious scoops of creamy goodness, such as ice cream on sticks (we’re looking at you Paddle Pops), ice cream sandwiches, and ice cream bars.

So, if you’re an ice cream lover, you might want to have a look at Biscoff’s newest menu addition.

Lotus Bakeries finally launched the ‘highly anticipated’ Biscoff Ice Cream Sticks in Woolworths supermarkets, with the snack dropping soon across the country.

According to Lotus Bakeries’ website, the newest addition to their sweet treat line-up is a ‘triple delight’.

‘When a unique cookie meets delicious ice cream. On the one hand, you have delicious, velvety ice cream prepared with dairy cream. On the other hand, crunchy bits of Lotus Biscoff Biscuit mixed with smooth Lotus Biscoff Spread. The result? A delicious taste sensation,’ the website read.

The ice cream sticks feature the same unique flavours as their famous biscuit, are wrapped in a crisp outer layer of chocolate and are further stuffed full of crunchy pieces of Biscoff caramelised biscuit. We don’t know about you, but our mouths are already watering over the product description!

They are available in two flavours: Milk chocolate and white chocolate.

Biscoff General Manager Bart Bauwens said: ‘Expanding our portfolio with this momentous launch in Australia is an exciting step forward that will give retailers a further opportunity to benefit from the country’s love affair with Biscoff.’

He added: ‘There’s no denying that the new ice creams are the perfect refreshing treat to satisfy that Biscoff craving or equally when customers are looking for a moment of indulgence in the comfort of their own home.’

Lotus Bakeries has partnered with Bulla Family Dairy, one of Australia’s oldest family dairy companies, to distribute the Biscoff Ice Cream Sticks to an Australian audience via Woolworths.

Some Aussies were lucky enough to get a taste of the Biscoff Ice Cream Sticks ahead of their release date.

Food blogger Nick Vavitis shared a review of both flavours on his Instagram account. He said that the white chocolate variety was his ‘favourite’.

‘This is everything I wanted in an ice cream! It is perfect,’ he wrote before adding that the product was ‘creamy’ and that there was ‘so much Biscoff biscuits and Biscoff inside’.

Nick also said that the milk chocolate was good, but felt that the flavour tended to get lost whenever Biscoff was mixed with milk chocolate. ‘Milk chocolate is too strong compared to the white chocolate,’ he claimed.

White chocolate has potential health benefits as well. This is because white chocolate has a good amount of phosphorus, calcium, and vitamin B12, reducing the risk of heart disease. This means white chocolate could benefit heart health, are good for the bones, and could improve mood and skin health (although, if we’re being honest, the sugar content probably cancels all that out).

TikTok food reviewer @AngeEats said he was one of the lucky few who received the product in advance, claiming that he had to ask Woolworths staff to grab a box for him since they weren’t on the supermarket’s shelves yet.

He taste-tested the white chocolate version of the treat.

‘Holy s**t, this is nice. This is absolutely beautiful,’ he said after the first bite before showing his followers the Biscoff layer wedged between the ice cream and white chocolate shell.

‘It’s got little pieces of Biscoff on the outside too. It’s kind of like eating a Magnum but biscuit,’ he explained.

Afterwards, he said he ‘highly recommends’ people go to their local Woolworths to grab a box for themselves. He also said to ask the staff for help in case they don’t see the products on the shelves.

Social media users across various platforms shared their excitement over the new product.

‘Holy sheesh, I wish I didn’t know that…Obsessed with Biscoff,’ one wrote.

Another stated: ‘I’m just keen to try the milk chocolate. Choc and Biscoff are a match made in Heaven.’

‘Just went looking for them,’ another commented.

The ice cream comes in a three-pack and is priced at $9.50 at Woolworths. The complete rollout of the ice cream sticks is expected by March 20, 2023.

This comes after reports that two new Golden Gaytime items will be added to their product lineup: Golden Gaytime Pancakes and Golden Gaytime Cupcakes. More details about this product launch can be read here.
