Perth mum-of-two Carolina McCauley who has crowned herself “the home hacks queen” shared that she already bid farewell to chemical household cleaners in a recent TikTok video, stating that she now swears by a three-ingredient, multi-purpose DIY spray for all of her cleaning needs.

So, what exactly are the three ingredients you need to create this "universal" cleaning spray?

Carolina revealed that all you’ll need to create her DIY cleaning spray are a few lemon peels, some vinegar, and water.

“Enjoy your powerful cleaner,” she said in her video.

The now-viral clip, which has been viewed more than 160,000 times, shows Carolina grabbing a mason jar before filling it with fresh lemon peel followed by a healthy dose of white vinegar.

Next, Carolina sealed the jar tight with its lid and stored the mixture in a cold dark place for at least 24 hours.

After 24 hours, the mum strained the liquid into a spray bottle and topped it with water.

The video gained traction on TikTok, with many users excitedly stating that they will be trying the 'homebrew' cleaner themselves.

Hi, is this equal qty. of each, if not what proportions of each do you use, please.
 
I will try the lemon and vinegar, I have been using a mix of half and half dishwashing liquid and vinegar, shaken and stored in a jar. It works wonders on glass in the shower for stains. Does anyone have a suggestion for getting the dirt out of the grout between the floor tiles in my house please?

I have never really measured it silly me, l just get a spray bottol and put a squrt of washing up liquid thpour in some white vinegar then fill with water, then use a microfibre cloth, so easy hope this helps
