The Shocking Truth Behind the Largest Medical Payout Ever: How One Doctor's Visit for Fatigue Ended in a Penis Procedure Gone Wrong!

When we visit a doctor, we place our trust in their expertise, hoping to find relief from whatever ails us. But for one man in New Mexico, a simple doctor's visit for fatigue and weight loss spiralled into a medical nightmare, culminating in the largest medical malpractice payout in U.S. history.

The 66-year-old man, whose identity remains confidential, sought help at NuMale Medical Center in Albuquerque back in 2017. Little did he know this decision would lead to irreversible damage to his penis and a drastic change in his quality of life.

According to the lawsuit filed in 2020, the clinic, which preyed on elderly men, coaxed the patient into receiving multiple 'invasive erectile dysfunction shots' directly into his penis several times a week. These injections, which were not only unnecessary but also harmful, resulted in the man's permanent impotence and severe penile scarring. The damage was so extensive that he now must sit down to urinate, as his penis has become enveloped in thick scar tissue.

The legal battle lasted four years, and the now 72-year-old man was awarded a staggering AU$637.3 million in damages. This payout set a record, surpassing the previous largest medical malpractice award of AU$335 million given to former basketball player Allan Navarro in 2006 after a misdiagnosed stroke left him with brain damage.

Lori Bencoe, one of the plaintiff's attorneys, emphasised the gravity of the situation, stating that there is no place for licensed professionals to defraud patients for money. Nick Rowley, another attorney for the plaintiff, highlighted the egregious nature of the case on Instagram, revealing that the man was sent home with a 'dangerous chemical' in his penis without an antidote. However, the specific chemicals used remain undisclosed.

The trial, which took place last month, ended with this historic verdict. However, NuMale Medical Center has not admitted to any wrongdoing and has refrained from commenting on the case due to ongoing legal proceedings. Brad Palubicki, the President of NuMale Medical Center, expressed respect for the judicial process and emphasised the company's commitment to responsible patient care and strict safety standards.

NuMale's Albuquerque clinic specialises in treatments for erectile dysfunction and testosterone replacement, as well as weight loss and hair replacement. Despite the controversy, the clinic boasts an average of 4.4 stars out of 54 Google reviews and claims to have treated over 100,000 patients since its inception in 2013.

Erectile dysfunction injections, when used appropriately, are designed to relax muscles and increase blood flow in the penis, leading to an erection. They are a common treatment for the condition, which affects about 30 million men in the U.S., predominantly those over the age of 65.

This case is a stark reminder of the importance of seeking second opinions and being wary of treatments that seem too aggressive or unnecessary. It also underscores the need for vigilance in the medical community to prevent such exploitation, especially of vulnerable populations like the elderly.

This story is a cautionary tale for our readers at the Seniors Discount Club. Always ensure that you are fully informed about any medical procedure, understand the risks involved, and feel comfortable with the care you are receiving. Don't hesitate to speak up or seek another medical opinion if something feels wrong. Your health and well-being are paramount; no one should endure what this man went through.

Please remember the article is dealing with the outcome of another person's medical mal practise. Please don't ridicule this man with your cheap shots and puerile attempts at comedy. Show some respect if you are able to.

He should have approached the Botched team, Dr Nasif & Dr Dubro, to see if they could help.
If they can't help him with that particular problem, he could have had a nose job,
and come home with a SPECTACULAR set of BOOBIES 😼 😼
Hi Da Freddo,

Yes, Dr's Paul N & Terry D are certainly 2 spectacular & incredible experts in the field of cosmetic surgery.
It's obvious that you are a follower of their shows as well as us.
It's completely unbelievable of their results.
I can't imagine what that poor bloke went through with those injections into the "Old Fellow" & the crook results of the same.
Anyway, he's got the "Dough".

Hi I am very able to read English, Thanks. There is no need to shout by typing capitals. You wrote at the end of your comment.

Anyway, he's got the "Dough". The way this is written infers that the man who had the procedures, he's got the "Dough" was the recipient of compensation/money/dough. If you want to remove any confusion, maybe state who got the dough. I will not lecture you on your confusing English. Who got the dough? :)

I think that you should re read the original post to see how much he was paid out.
He was paid a record amount of dough for his mal practice claim.

I've grown up quite a lot lot more than you'll ever achieve.
So, stick it.

Excuse me butting in on a Boys Bunfight. As a completely disinterested female can I draw your combined attention to the last point in the article, which says the unfortunate and amazingly over-compensated victim now cannot stand to pass water.

In common with 50% of the world's population, I find there is no big problem with sitting to perform this vital function. How is this worth a payout of millions of dollars? Or 'dough' or 'moolah' or whatever.

All I was eluding too, was, for his extreme unfortunates set of circumstances of the medical treatment he underwent, &, of his ensuing court action, for medical mal practice, he rec'd a record compensation payout.
And, that's how he "GOT" the "DOUGH".

Being a bloke, who on earth would have undergone that treatment is beyond all reason.
