Had the lobster tails last year and they were fantastic. Getting same this year. Also had the scallops which were yummy.

Not so sure about affordable when you look at the per kg price! And are they all locally/Australian produce or only some of them?

What Lobsters ????? even the western Australian so called lobster is NOT A LOBSTER..... It is a CRAYFISH... The name "Lobster" commands a higher price than "CRAYFISH" hence the fraud.... for those that dont know A "LOBSTER" has 2 large CLAWS like a "MUDCRAB", here in Aus we do have FRESH water lobsters know by different names depending on where you live... But NO actual ocean LOBSTERS

Aldi says "lets roll out the same as last year, the customers won't know"

Following your article last year on 15/11/2021, i investigated, and posted the following:-

""Aldi’s “special buy” lobster tails come from Canada, kept frozen, where they may be caught up to 2 years before selling them. The garlic sauce is added to mask the frozen flavour. Also, Woolies tails come from Brazil, Coles come from Canada, also!! Both sold around $8-10 per lobster tail!!
Always best to buy local, if possible! 👍🏽👍🏽 ""

Interestingly, in 2021 they sold for 2/$29.99, this year they sell for 2/$35.99
Also, Scallops with Herbs de Provence Butter - last year $9.99, this year $13.99

Yes Tipsy, we don't get lobsters in Australian waters, only crayfish!!

Coles and Woolworths will sell Aussie Crayfish at between $28 - $33 each, this year, for between 500g to 650g weight, from 2nd November, 2022

So, fellow members, wherever you buy your Christmas Seafood, buyer beware!!

Thanks, Australian only if I buy any seafood, yes it's expensive thus I go without (more often than not), but I refuse to buy imported rubbish (who knows where it's been farmed)!
