The Post Mistress
The village Post Mistress sadly passed away at 100 years of age after running the post office single handed for over 80 years.
As a tribute to her the community gathered a fund to provide a fitting memorial headstone on her grave.
Much debate ensued as to an appropriate wording to commemorate this fine former member of the community.
A spinster all of her life it was finally decided on just two simple words to signify her life's work "returned unopened"
