The original Internet?

When I was little, my most beloved TV show was The Magic Circle Club. Every Monday they would start an adventure and resolve it by the end of the week. One time I even got to be in the studio audience. It was fun to see how they made the show, though I was very upset to see Leonardo da FunBird just lying on a bench looking like a stick puppet. No respect! My favourite bit, though, was the supercomputer, IKAN, which stands for Instantaneous Knowledge-Accumulating Network, he was basically the internet! Though his voice was much friendlier, and he tended to have a bit of a bias toward the magnificent British Empire.

Never heard of that one🤔

It was in the early 60s, and made at Channel O's (now channel 10) studios in Nunawading. Later, the same company went across to the ABC and made Adventure Island. I know Adventure Island is very beloved, but I always thought of it as a knock off of The Magic Circle Club. BTW the picture in today's email is of Adventure Island, not the Magic Circle Club.

Yes, I remember Adventure Island, but not Magic Circle. Loved Clown and Miser Meanie and Fester Fumble. I recall watching it after school. My neighbour and I sent something to the show...perhaps a letter and it was read out on TV. Great old funny show for kids back in the day!
