The mystery of Nat Barr's sudden disappearance during Sunrise’s broadcast - Channel 7’s major announcement

While it wasn’t necessarily a missing person’s case, it had all the trappings of a mysterious disappearance.

Regular viewers of Channel 7’s Sunrise programme were left thoroughly confused this Tuesday morning when Natalie Barr went missing with an hour of the show still left to go.

In the blink of an eye - and with no explanation - Nat had been replaced by presenter Monique Wright, who cheerfully broke the news to viewers.

'Good morning! Back now for our 8 am hour on Sunrise. Thanks so much for joining us,' Monique said.

It seems the curious disappearance wasn’t just baffling viewers at home - even long-time co-host David Koch was left scratching his head as he teased Monique saying, ‘What the hell are you doing here?’

Monique appeared to find the joke amusing and responded playfully by saying: ‘Nat just scurried out and I happened to have been under the couch.’

Of course, we viewers know better than to believe that Monique just appeared out of thin air.

And so, as the hosts and other presenters laughed along, Kochie laid the truth on us by informing the audience that 'she's dashing to the airport as we speak. We’ll bring that to you tomorrow.’

It was revealed that Nat was off to Melbourne to film an exclusive interview with Olivia Newton-John's family.

This exclusive interview is set to air on Channel 7 and 7plus and features Olivia Newton-John's daughter, Chloe Lattanzi, and husband, John Easterling.

Together, they shared heartbreakingly honest accounts of their grief and the special announcement they had planned in honour of the late singer.

When discussing her time in Melbourne, Nat shared it was an emotional but funny interview.

She remarked: 'It was an emotional interview but a really funny one too, with two people who dearly loved Australia’s sweetheart.'

This poignant interview along with the incredible special announcement was one of extremely personal importance to the Newton-John family.

I was watching sunrise and saw this. They said it was for an interview which they couldn't say.
Which I totally understand. Most interviews are not let known until after they are done. What happens if they either don't go ahead or just can't be aired this would make them look stupid.

They showed the interview the next day and was a great insight to Olivia and her family.

What I cringed at and thought it was a tasteless question to ask was Nat said to Chloe , Olivia's daughter , we know your mum's last words to you but what was your last words to her.....Chloe's reply was a soft ' that is personal ' my gosh let them keep something private!

I think Nat overstood boundaries here

Also was thought what a tasteless question.😡

I don't like Nat. This was lacking any compassion or sense of privacy- it's like she just she doesn't have a clue. She often says some tasteless things, and makes statements she knows nothing about ridiculing the person as a result. No-one should be making fun of others beliefs which she does regularly. Its very narrow-minded especially as her role is host.
