The house where Cameron Williams allegedly assaulted his wife is now up for sale

As many of you might know, Cameron Williams is a former television star who recently made headlines for less-than-ideal reasons.
The former Channel Nine sports presenter was charged with a domestic violence offence after an altercation with his estranged wife last month.
Now, it seems that the couple is selling off their assets, including their rural retreat known as Wareng in the NSW Hunter Valley. The 16-hectare property is being auctioned off with a price guide of $1.3 million.
The pair had been operating the property as an Airbnb and selling grapes from its vineyard to Hunter Valley winemakers before the incident occurred.
Police were called to Werang in the early hours of Sunday, November 20 after Williams allegedly grabbed Ms Russo's arm during an argument. The pair had spent the previous day with two long-time friends on a working bee and began drinking after downing tools.
It's alleged that there was a dispute between Williams and Ms Russo late on Saturday night which their friends did not witness but heard from another room.
One of the friends called Triple Zero, and police attended the address just after 1 am where they charged Williams at Cessnock police station with common assault and assault occasioning actual bodily harm under section 59 of Crimes Act 1900 (NSW).
Police also took out an interim apprehended violence order against him which requires him to not approach or be in the company of Ms Russo for at least 12 hours after drinking alcohol or taking illicit drugs.
Court documents reveal there is no history of violence between the pair, however this doesn't negate what happened or make it any less serious.
This comes after Cameron Williams's abrupt exit from Nine's evening newscast back in March. After signing a three-year contract with the network, the 59-year-old suddenly stopped appearing on broadcast three weeks prior.
Cameron said that he was leaving the job because his health was getting worse and worse.
'It's with a heavy heart I have decided to resign from Nine. Leaving the best team in News is difficult and being part of that team an honour,' he wrote in the email sent to the staff members of the network.
'But I have struggled for years with increasingly poor health, and I want to address that now for the sake of a more important team, my family.'
