Back in the sixties if you went rabbit shooting, all you were doing was putting them out of their misery as most of them were riddled with Myxomatosis. Many years ago I met friends of my now wife they had a farm and they had trouble with rabbits now I had shot rifles before but the man gave me a rifle to shoot the rabbits I got one in my sights but just couldn't shoot it the only thing I had shot before were targets It was a great discussion at the dinner table but at least my girlfriend now wife was happy that I couldn't shoot it

When I was a child in England, my mum used to get rabbits from the butcher to help out with the meat ration. I could never face eating it so had to have meatless dinners for a lot of the time.I love that, only wished the birds and animals could shoot back and get their target.
