There’s definitely no shortage of easy DIY hacks online, and we’ve compiled a list of the best ones we’ve previously featured (along with a couple of new ones) all in one article for you, folks!
1. $7 Kmart buys into charming home decorations
One Brisbane-based mum, Michelle Rhodes, stumbled upon a pack of two Rattan Look handles for $7 while on a grocery run.
The pair of handles were originally meant to be used as a replacement for worn out cupboard or drawer handles, but Michelle had other plans in mind – chic storage lids and a stylish wall hook.
For the chic storage lids, she removed the screws attached to the handles, flattened the bottom, and glued one for each canister.
On the other hand, the process to make the wall hook needs a tad bit of woodwork. Begin by sanding down a piece of wood to smoothen the edges. Then, divide the spaces equally with a measuring tape before drilling holes into them. Top it all off by inserting the handles into the holes.
“I love the new look on the lids. I think they look pretty cute styled up in the kitchen!” the creative mum said.

2. DIY trendy chunky pillow covers
One TikToker, Eva Pautov, shared footage of how she created trendy pillows using only a roll of cotton tube yarn and a bit of looping plus knotting skills.

Eva starts off by making a loop and securing it with a knot. She makes a total of 9 loops which should cover a 17 to 18-inch throw pillow, meaning the total number of loops may depend on your throw pillow’s size.

Then, she creates more loops through the base loops she made, extending the area to the sides and repeating this step all the way around. You just need to trust the process up until you can see the shape of a pillow cover forming.
She stuffs a pillow inside before closing and reminds her viewers that the opposite ends of the loop must touch to make sure they got down the size perfectly. She seals the pillow cover and the end results look astonishing.

4. DIY tile mirror
Rhi, also known as @interhiors on TikTok, regularly posts clever DIY ideas online and among her best ones is this cute, tiled mirror frame that even a beginner DIY enthusiast can replicate.

She starts by laying down the following items: small mint-coloured tiles, strips of cardboard, construction adhesive, floor and wall grout filler, and last but not the least, a basic mirror.
Then, she generously covers the backside of each tile with construction adhesive and delicately sticks them onto the mirror’s frames. Here’s an important catch– strips of cardboard are stuffed in between each tile to create a grout.
After covering the entire frame with mini tiles, she proceeds by concocting a tile grout mixture that’s also mint-coloured. She fills the empty spaces and leaves them to dry. Finally, she does a final wipe throughout the frame before displaying her beautiful masterpiece in her room.

5. Amazing bathroom DIY transformation
We’ve got two pantry storage ideas, a living room decor, and bedroom decor down– what else? The bathroom, of course! We totally understand that bathroom renovations can cost an arm and a leg… that’s why some creative homeowners opt to do things their own way.
Helen started small first by cleaning and painting a couple of things in her bathroom to give it a whole new look.
“Literally all you have to do is clean it and paint it!” she said, adding that she used Zinsser AllCoat exterior paint in satin for her bathroom. “Two coats, no scratches so far, I have two children as well. I'm really happy with the overall finish.”
She also used grout pens to ‘paint’ bring life to her old, yellowish tile grouts.
