The stunning Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas, USA is a must to see.
The river has been used as a focal show piece of the city and is a hub of peace, tranquillity and coolness in what can be a very hot place. This Walk includes open spaces for relaxing, a retail area and many cafes and restaurants and the river itself is an attraction for tourists as they glide along this peaceful waterway underneath the busy roads above.
It was a delightful stop over for us on our journey home to Australia from Miami.

I remember the Riverwalk well! I did a tour of The Alamo, then took a stroll along it. Although that was way back in 1978, I have wonderful memories of the USA, after spending five months staying with friends in Ft Worth, and travelling around .....sadly, I never had the chance to return.
