DIY enthusiasts have been swooning over Kmart's $39 14-piece Wooden Tree House for its nifty style and utility for their projects.

Savvy DIYers said that the $39 Kmart buy is perfect for customising to create your own dollhouse which you can give as a gift to your grandchildren or as a decoration at home.

The 14-piece set includes a bed, sofa, felt floor rug, table, bench, mushroom floor lamp, swing, two chairs and four stools.

One of the many DIYers who have been raving over this Kmart toy is mum-of-one Jess who shared a photo of her own twist to the nifty buy.


Jess said that her inspiration for the surf shack treehouse came from her experience living by the beach in coastal NSW.

Mum-of-two Danielle also shared her Hawaiian-themed holiday which featured a pillow with a palm tree design, a portrait of the seaside, a hanging anchor decoration, surfboards, mini woven baskets, and a small palm tree plant.


Another DIY aficionado who got hooked on the toy treehouse is stylist and mum-of-two Alicia who gave her toy treehouse a makeover, repainting it and decorating it with handcrafted 'mini household items' such as mini four-poster bed, pizza oven and hanging egg chair.
