The $18 Kmart accessory that's taking Australia by storm: 'It’s clearly a win'

Budget-friendly finds have a way of captivating shoppers, especially when they rival high-end alternatives.

A recent release has sparked a flurry of excitement, leaving many eager to get their hands on what’s being dubbed the ultimate must-have.

So, what’s behind the buzz surrounding this sought-after item?

Fashion-savvy Aussies have been buzzing about an $18 Kmart find that's drawn comparisons to designer bags costing thousands of dollars.

The Woven Nylon Tote Bag hit shelves across Australia recently and has already become a sought-after item.

This stylish tote bears a striking resemblance to high-end versions from Prada, July, New Look, and Asos, which range in price from $44 to $3,250.

Measuring 35.5 cm x 13.5 cm with a depth of 29 cm, the tote also includes a generous 119 cm shoulder strap that is both detachable and adjustable.

It features sleek carry handles and a secure top zip closure, making it an ideal choice for office commutes or meetings.

Parents have also gravitated towards it as a baby bag thanks to its spacious design.

While the black option offers a timeless appeal, the tote also comes in a navy ‘sky captain’ shade with chic tan straps.

This colour combination has drawn comparisons to bags from Mango, H&M, and Beymen New York.

Kmart enthusiasts are no strangers to budget-friendly gems, with the retailer enjoying a wave of popularity heading into 2025.

Earlier this week, a clever $3 storage hack captured the attention of thousands of shoppers.

A set of space-saving hangers, designed to hold multiple items vertically, has been hailed as a game-changer for decluttering wardrobes.

Originally priced at $5.50 but now on sale, the four-pack of hangers promises to free up precious closet space with ease.

One shopper, Jordy Kilgour, shared a video of his wardrobe transformation using the hangers.

Jordy, who admitted to buying multiple versions of the same shirt, praised the product for streamlining his closet.

‘This is so cool – it’s clearly a win,’ he said.

The hangers have also garnered glowing five-star reviews from Kmart customers who swear by their ability to keep wardrobes neat and organised.

Why is it that EVERY Kmart "luxe dupe" relates to female fashion?

Never seen a men's "luxe dupe" on clothing or accessory on SDC.

I suppose that the misguided belief that men don't care about what they wear or how they look is alive and well in the retail sector.

Just look at the proportion of floor space assigned to women's apparel compared to that of men's. At Best and Less, I would estimate that the women's section takes up 60%, kid's wear 30% and menswear lucky to be 10%.

I probably don’t need another bag but did buy the canvas type one last year & find it very useful. I generally only ever buy leather but might take a look. Could be useful on the plane.
