That is just 'plane' rude! People share the WORST passengers they've ever flown with

The first rule of respectful travel is to follow the rules: Observe the mask requirements, boarding procedures, and carry-on baggage limitations. Beyond that, there’s additional unspoken etiquette to make travelling a little more pleasant for everyone and prevent conflict.

Now that the pandemic is (hopefully) largely behind us, international and interstate travel is back on the menu - but if you don’t yet have anything planned, don’t fret: after seeing the following images, you might consider yourself lucky not to be travelling.

On the trivia website Parent Dome, people from all over the world have posted pictures of the most disrespectful plane passengers they have ever encountered, making their trips seem like a one-way ticket to hell.

From not following basic hygiene rules to sitting in other people's seats, the rude and irresponsible people you will see below could really use a refresher course in how to behave.

We understand and approve of the concept of ‘support animals’, and although they’re traditionally dogs, we suppose they could theoretically come in all shapes and sizes. However, if you let your pet monkey run free and tinker with the lights and air conditioning controls, this could be quite distracting, wouldn't you agree? The owner's seatmate must also have been very disturbed…We’d have been calling for the air hostess pretty darn quickly.

And in the picture on the right, you can see one of the most obvious reasons why you should always clean your plane seat screen (or any surface) before using it. Although we are impressed by the person's flexibility, using their foot to interact with the touch screen is extremely unhygienic, especially in a public setting.

Speaking of hygiene, it's amazing how some people feel no guilt about acting unhygienically in public. The man on the right was observed doing his nail trimming from his seat. Just picture all those nail clippings making a mess on the plane…

Meanwhile, a woman was observed popping her pimples during the flight, much to the discomfort of the passenger seated next to her, who was forced to observe the entire thing. You can do that in the restroom, young lady.

Some people, especially women, admit that having long, voluminous hair can occasionally become uncomfortable, especially when you're sitting still for an extended period of time. However, the solution to this shouldn't involve making other people's lives more difficult.

After paying more for a seat so they could have more room for their leg, one passenger was horrified to see the dreadlocks of the person in front of him invading his space.

Meanwhile, the woman in the right picture was letting her hair down on the screen of the person sitting behind her, completely obstructing their view. Rude!

If you believe that the inconvenience caused by unhygienic flyers is only experienced by their fellow passengers, the flight attendants would like to have a word with you. Even they can’t escape the hassle of dealing with people who have completely disregarded proper flight etiquette.

When one passenger on the flight used the individual air conditioning control that is located above this seat in order to dry out his shoe, the majority of the other passengers gave him a hostile look. Yuck!

And in the image on the right, the flight crew was less than pleased to discover that one of the passengers had forgotten his underwear on the seat after landing. Let's just hope it's from his bag and not the one he was wearing before the flight…

I have just returned from a trip to Wollongong and Sydney and Melbourne and I have to say that despite the airlines not having sufficient staff for baggage handling and the trauma that created. The people that we travelled with all seemed to take it in their stride. The staff of the airline were courteous and always helpful. Taxi drivers are something else altogether as in Wollongong the driver took off before I was in the cab and I was dumped in the gutter.
I had a good trip despite ending up in the ER I met my Brothers and Sister for the first time. I was adopted at birth.

On a trip before Covid, the man in front fully reclined his seat as soon as he sat down. As I was in cattle class that didn't leave me much room. He put his feet up on the back of the seat in front of him (yuck) to read his phone. I had to asked the attendant to get him to put the seat up when the food came. I couldn't put up my table. No plane etiquette at all. Obviously he reclined again as soon as the food was finished.

The most appalling flight was from Townsville to Brisbane a pretty young woman who happened to be from a country who values the smell of sweat which denotes hard work sat next to me that was ok until she lifted her arms arm to flick her hair off her neck..... serveral times the stench was so bad I gagged {I,m a nurse so you know it was baaaaad!}

I know this is an ongoing discussion, and I really don’t understand why. Aeroplane seats are made to decline! End of story! Except, obviously, during food service.

Now I know why they won't let you carry scissors in carryon luggage!.
