Taste Iconic Aussie Fast-Foods With Smith’s New Range – Here’s What You Need to Try!

As we all know, Aussies love a treat here and there - there's just something comforting about tucking into a well-deserved treat after a long day.

So what could be better than good old-fashioned chips with a tasty twist?

If you're a fan of Red Rooster and the iconic Smith's chips, then you are in luck - the two products have joined forces to create the 'Crinkle Reds Fried Chicken Burger', a chip flavour that is set to bring that classic Rooster experience to a supermarket near you this week!

Red Rooster Marketing Director, Ashley Hughes, said that the restaurant is looking forward to the partnership, remarking: 'When "The Rooster’s Calling" to satisfy your chicken cravings we answer, that’s why when the opportunity to partner with Smith’s came up, we couldn’t say no.'

'To us, nothing sums up the Rooster’s Call better than our iconic Reds Burger. We can’t wait to share our flavours with Aussies in this new and very delicious way.'

This delicious collaboration is one of three new flavours from Smith's newest product line, the 'Smith’s Taste Icons' range.

You read that right, folks! Joining them in this endeavour are other fan favourites Subway and Mad Mex; the trio are set to bring Aussies a unique collection of flavours that have never before been seen.

Subway announced its partnership with Smith's, introducing three sanga-inspired flavoured chips for the collaboration. Customers can now get their hands on a pack of 'Crinkle Meatball Sub' at Coles, which are available in 150g packs; a 'Crinkle Pizza Sub' from Woolworths also in 150g bags; and a 'Crinkle Chicken Teriyaki Sub' available in 45g and 150g packs at independent retailers across the country.

Rodica Titeica, the Head of Marketing for Subway in Australia and New Zealand, remarked that the restaurant chain was dedicated to 'offering iconic quality and taste' to its customers.

She said: 'Our freshly baked subs are a delicious and filling meal option for breakfast, lunch and dinner but we know there can be key snacking periods in between and partnering with Smith’s allows Aussies to access the Subway flavours they know and love in another form.'

Meanwhile, Mad Mex is bringing some serious spice to the brand-new joint venture with their 'Mad Mex Double Crunch Hot Sauce' flavour.

'When we were approached by Smith’s to partner on a Mad Mex Hot Sauce infused chip, we jumped at the opportunity,' said Mad Mex’s CEO and founder, Clovis Young.

'We knew that by combining Smith’s product development expertise and our world-famous Mad Mex hot sauce, we would come up with something truly special for our amigos. The end result will impress even the toughest of food critics.'

Smith’s Marketing Manager, Sam O’Donnell, said that the recent offerings are the brand's 'biggest collaboration' to date.

She remarked: 'We’re really excited to be partnering with three iconic restaurants – Subway, Mad Mex and Red Rooster for the launch of what is our biggest brand collaboration yet.'

'Smith’s is famous for its flavours, so of course we jumped at the opportunity to bring a unique range of flavours to life on our iconic crinkle cut chips.'

Perhaps Smith's are hoping that if enough people buy these "Limited Edition" products in a specified period of time they will became a permanent ( money making ) product for them. I must admit that l am drawn to spicy foods & may give them a try though the price seems a bit rich.
