Tablecloths in the ‘70s

Do you remember these popular tablecloths from the ‘70s? They came in several different colours and required zero ironing! The good news is that a couple of Aussies claim you could still buy them at Spotlight stores. Do you still have yours? Share your memories with us!

Still used is my tablecloth matching the photo. It’s card-table size and I use it on a small table when having snacks. It was a gift in 1970.

My Mum had an orange tablecloth. It was used regularly on our table indoors and also outside. Fond memories of get togethers shared with loved ones sharing stories, jokes and good times!

I have an orange one also and it is still used for my everyday use.

I was at a lovely little cafe a couple of days ago and all the tables had these kind of cloths on. They have lovely old teapots, cups and saucers too.The food was pretty good as well.

The tablecloths are easy to wash, no ironing and usually in bright colours. I have one in blue, green, red and yellow with pictures of fruit on it. My little granddaughter loves it!
