Switchboard

Had many years in the Army Reserve. Our equivalent of a land line were telephone set “k’s”, which were used on exercises. These were connected by wire laid out and run though a switchboard operated by our headquarters.
Operations were usually Run 24 hours a day. You would get rostered on for a shift during the night. Was very interesting at times, and inexperience showed many times - cutting people off, or connecting to wrong parties.
Must admit, these switchboards were not very fancy.

Kev.
