Sun’s out, Buns out: Naked bloke spotted shopping at a NSW servo

We understand how the weather lately has been awfully hot and humid in certain parts of the country. However, that is hardly a suitable excuse to ditch clothes entirely when going out in public, like this man from New South Wales who went to pay for his petrol completely naked (except for a pair of thongs and his sunglasses).
In a situation that can only be described as “a real-life version of that dream you have when you’re completely starkers in public”, Bruno Bouchet, the manager for radio shock jock Kyle Sandilands, shared a cheeky photo of the bloke on Twitter, along with the store’s CCTV footage.

According to Bouchet, the man who appears to be aged in his mid-50s to early 60s “just went in, paid for his petrol, and left”, which probably left the store employees shocked and confused as to what they just witnessed.
“It is sort of one of those stories where there are so many more questions to be answered,” said Bruno.
The CCTV footage, which was believed to have been captured last Thursday, saw the cashier being professional and calm about the whole situation.
Bouchet said the man behind the cash register thought “it was crazy like anyone else”, but did not dare question the man about his lack of clothes. However, he was also concerned about how the man wasn’t wearing a mask as per the company policy.
The identity of the mystery streaker has not yet been discovered, but NSW Police have already been alerted regarding the “shameful” incident, according to an owner of a nearby business establishment.
The tweet gained attention online, with most users finding the humour in an unusual situation.
“This dude didn't just forget his mask. He forgot everything,” wrote one user.
“I wonder if it was actually his birthday? Appropriate attire if it was,” said another.
According to the NSW law regarding public nudity, “a person shall not, in or within view from a public place or a school, wilfully and obscenely expose his or her person”.
Penalties for this type of offence would vary depending on the circumstances, which would usually have the offender face imprisonment for up to six months or pay a fine of 10 penalty units ($1100).
And if you’re curious, this wasn’t the first time we wrote about crazy public streaking stories. Just last year, one streaker was caught by CCTV cameras making a mess inside a pizza shop in Sydney.
Be careful always, folks! Sometimes you never know what you might see when topping up your tank!
