Storage problems? Try this space-saving linens 'bundle' trick!
- Replies 4
Spending a few minutes carefully folding your bed linens after removing them from the dryer will ensure that they stay in the best possible condition. Also, doing this will keep things in your bedroom closet neat and organised (no one wants to sleep on sheets and pillowcases that don't match!)
But how do you even fold linens twice as large as you are, without them taking up most of your storage space? Here, one mum shows us how!
According to Chantel Mila, who goes by the nickname Mama Mila on TikTok and Instagram, there are easy folding techniques that can help us neatly organise our bedroom sets into bundles, without the hassle of them taking up too much space!

1. The fitted sheet
Many people have complained about the time and effort required to fold a fitted sheet properly, but Mila's straightforward approach takes only a few seconds and prevents the sheet from becoming a crumpled mess.
Here's how to do it:
First, place your fitted sheet on a flat surface with the elastic side facing up. Then, smooth it all out. After that, tuck the sheet's bottom corners into the top ones and fold the left corner into the right one, creating a huge rectangle.
All that's left to do now is fold the top and bottom in, then the sides, and finally, the entire sheet will fold into a smaller rectangle.
2. The flat sheet
Folding a flat sheet is much easier than folding a fitted sheet, and you only have to follow the same steps! Mila advised, however, that if you have both fitted and flat sheets, you should fold them into the same size so that they would fit more easily into your linen closet.
3. The pillowcases
Pillowcases are smaller and therefore easier to fold than bedsheets; simply fold them into little rectangles and set them on top of the linen stack! But to make a space-saving linen 'bundle', Mila recommends that you use one pillowcase to store the rest of your bed linens.
To do this, simply insert your bed linen bundle into the opening of a pillowcase and push them into the far end of the pillowcase. Then, fold the whole thing in half and use the pillow flap to secure the bundle tightly.
This way, instead of digging through multiple linens, you'll just need to grab one bundle whenever you need to switch out your sheets and pillowcases. Pretty convenient, right? By doing this, you can also make sure that the linens will retain their freshness and scent even after being stored for some time.
What do you think, folks? Now that winter is over, we think this would be a HUGE help! This can be a nice storage trick to try out if you're wondering about how to store several of those winter sheets and linens in your home.
